I wish you the best with your new situation. I think as long as we're honest with ourselves (women in general) we can never go wrong. As long as we keep it true when no one else is around then everything will work itself out. A man of ill intent, etc will present himself in time. Some times it takes a while but it always rears its ugly head!

I wish I could learn to be a mover and shaker again These torpedos and all this junk in my trunk is dictating otherwise, come to think of it, I met Steve droppin it like a salt shaker too! He doesn't dance but he sure let me dance on him lol... I had on a black strapless sundress..omg...I forgot all this info.

One of the reasons Steve liked me too was because there was a drunk girl there and I had met her in the bathroom and she was so drunk and so was her friend. But her friend was so busy in the jamaican men's faces, she no longer cared about her drunk friend, so I kept talking to the girl and told to eat something. Steve said "Do you know her?" I said no but I don't want anything to happen to her. So these two jamaican men said they was going to help get her back to her hotel. My crazy azz said to them, "If anything happens to her, I will find you". (Trying to be gansta with it) To this day I don't know what happened. I just prayed to God to take care of her Steve said "See you are a strong woman, who I want to get to know because you didn't have to do that".

Yeah, that is me. Suspicious of all motivations now. Sort of sucks to saddle someone else with that baggage.

Yeah it does and my friend tells me that all the time like your punishing me for their actions. I don't mean to but I can't help it. I felt like I was a fool not once but twice no sir re you won't get me again… I never in a million years thought I would feel this way.

I've learned to be a lot more vocal. If I'm not happy, you know it. That's sort of my motto.....if I don't tell you then you don't know. If I tell you and you did/do it anyhow, shame on you.

When I was dating we met on the dance floor too and he was so not my type. I think your wedding colors defiantly need to include the color gold ... LOL

It took me 4 months to return. I knew that I loved him right away...I know that sounds crazy but it took a minute for me to accept that this was real. I've been back now a total of 5 times since our first time meeting. We used them 4 months to get to know each other...talking on the phone, e-mails, and letters, cards...awww

His dang gon ex was lurking...wanting to get back together with him...so I was trying to not get caught up being anyone's rebound girl! We didn't find out until months later that his ex was preg with his son...thus the whole issue with him having a son just being born in September...

Damn, damn, damn!!!!!!! I have to give him credit because since day one he and I have always said no matter what let's try our best to keep it real and be honest...and even though I know it was hard for him to tell me that early on somethings, he did tell me! Then it was up to me what to do about it, stay or walk it out!!!!

Amen!!! What I'm hoping to find in my next relationship is honesty Whether it will hurt me or not always be honest and just tell me!!!

I'm kind of talking to someone now. A blast from the past and well I need time to get myself together so we are just friends and taking it really slow but I can already see I'm going to have issues. I no longer trust. I was never before afraid to be in a relationship but now I find myself scared to ever trust again. I no longer want to put my all into anything. I believe in time this might pass but right now my guard is up in full force!!

Wait der I go getting off track. As I was saying I hear you at the end of the day just tell me!!!

Look Dada, you have to be able to trust again because that is a key element of a relationship. State what your needs are from the beginning, let him know what you will and won't tolerate and in your mind (give him two chances to f up). Keep communications open, tell him about your aspirations and have him share his. If you see early on its not working, kick dat azz to the curb and keep it moving...If you about to start a relationship, ask God to show you if this is the man for you. Don't be afraid to ask God to send ya whatcha need!!!

Steve and I had the "talk". We agreed that if things don't work out we would part and be friends. I told him he could have everything and I would start over. The things I am saying worked for me. Can you believe Im still friends will ALL of my ex's? Because we had an understanding from day one and we both stuck to it. So it can work sis!

Ironically, I am friends with all my ex's too. Except for Andre. Maybe it's just too new and raw and that will change. At this point, I don't think so though.

JG - I stir fry kale in olive oil, onions, garlic, and a little bit of veggie broth for flavor. Kale can be tough so I boiled it first. Not sure how Damien and my daughter made it last night.

Sus - aren't you proud of me?? My cooking skills are getting better.

What still amazes me about him is that he has no children, he doesn't smoke, hardly drinks and his ability to love me so fast - He is so boring! But I LOVES me some him!!! All 6ft 4 of him! mmmmmmmm such a tall drink of water... whew, let me calm down... lol.. Anyway Im very happy for you DW!!!

Maybe if you mix collards and kale it will taste better. I clean em, put them in a pot with a little water, vinegar, sugar, onions, garlic, smoked neck bones or turkey necks for flavor and soul seasoning!!! Bon appetite! You can also put some seeded peppers for a lil spiciness!

My hubby is very boring too.....but that is better than being all out there getting in trouble!!!
