Hey Nat,

Yes I found that info last year as well and spoke to the folks at the IRS and was told similar info as well, however my Husband was gainfully employed but did not recv any type of statements all under table income. I didn't see the benefit in going through all of that drama anyway if we decided to pursue it. I recv 2 dependent deductions and filing jointly was not going to change my return so I followed her instructions to change my status to married but still file head of household and that was copacetic for me. The good this is we have choices its just about what works best for you.

Mrs. Palmer, thanks for the update.

Sus, the prayers for your friend have already gone up.

Where you see NO fee? Mine was issued more then a year ago.....so, it looks like there is a fee for me.
OK, I'm confused....

What I am looking at, in that page is that IF YOUR PASSPORT WAS ISSUED LESS THEN A YEAR AGO, there is no charge.

But, down in the important notes of if your passport was issued more then a year ago, there is a fee for a new one.

Are we not looking at the same thing?

Okay, so I can't read today, sorry! I only read the first part, lol -

DaDa, my manager isn't in Brazil for Carnival. That's where she lives. She's actually from Malaysia, but doing an ex-pat assignment in Brazil.

I'm my only teammate in the USA. The rest are in Canada, Brazil, Ecuador, and Malaysia.

Philly, that's a great price!

Im glad you guys are letting me know all this stuff, ive done my voter registration and license so far...working on my ss, passport, bank account etc... this mess is a pain in the rass....

Who you tellin'!!

I did the license, SSN, most bank accounts, most credit cards, car insurance, health/dental insurance, electricity. Still need to finish a bank account/credit card (Discover wants you to fax them your marriage license), several online investment accounts, and various membership cards (grocery stores, drug store).

Someone reminded us on another thread about car title, too.

JG, I think they are making you get a whole new one because of the chip that is in it now. It didn't used to be like that...there was no fee period whether it was less than a year or not.

The will send back the old one which is a good thing, that happened when they wouldn't renew my one from a child any more and made me get a whole new one. I was using it forever and they would never have known but I filed for new pages in the book and they were like NUH SUH you need a new one and not with a pickney pic LOL I have it but they just punch a whole in it......

who has something tasty for lunch?

not me I have salad! Blaaaah

Girl, I had so much drama in JA with our Marriage certificate they originally jacked it all up with wrong info ( the reason my case took forever cause it was all Bandulo trying to get it corrected  ) When we finally got it corrected we had a bunch of them, go figure LOL
