I know. and I was recently bragging that after 8 years of psych nothing phases me any longer....spoke too soon. :unsure: This particular lady was just brought in today by ambulance after being found strolling the streets virtually 'bucket naked.' Tomorrow I begin the process of calling five O to see if she has been reported missing and what her name is...

God love you...I cannot do community support with MI or MR...I have enough of them in my family.

Thank God for people like you guys. I would definitely not do well in this line of work.

I was in the Christmas Spirit but now im not...My next door neighbor's mom died last night in Africa and she cant leave the country...I feel so sad for her. :crying::crying:

Merry Christmas to all!!!!! Happy Bday Jahni. I'd like to thank all of you who were helpful to me in the first part of my visa journey. On Dec 15th, i attended the interview in JA with my SO. It went extremely well. Questions asked were str8 4wrd. One in particular, was in regards to my son. She asked him if he knew him and how old was he. My S.O KNOWS my son. This past summer we spent 3ks with him & last yr 2wks. Plus my son(who is 6) has a decent relationship with him. While at interview, i couldnt understand why ppl came to the embassy and didnt have there own pen. Everyone kept asking to borrow ours. So me being a jokey person when ready said to a guy who wanted to borrow it, $100!!! People in the room began to laugh b/c they must have been thinking the same thing i was, Y U NEVA BRING UR OWN!! Its call HUSTLE D MONEY!!!!! Anyhow, he was approved. Now because we are from way ah country, ST BESS to be exact, DHL would not be delivering it to him.

I returned to NY early on the 17th b/c AIR JAMAICA was delayed nearly 5 hours so instead of reaching NY on the 16th @ 9:55 i arrived 2 JFK on the 17th @ 2am. Boy i tell you!!!!!!

As i tracked visa on DHL i saw where it was ready for pickup from the 18th which was the Friday. He went to town on the 21st and obtained it.

So every1, MY SWEETHEART WILL BE IN NY CHRISTMAS SUNDAY, Dec 27th!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again everyone and i will definitely need help with my next step in this journey. Take care

I think everyone else is watching Beyonce for now, they will chime in soon. As for me, I had plans of sleeping all day but now I feel guilty like I always do when on vacation. My only plans are to study for th GRE and find someone to braid my hair.

Ohh...I remember the GRE days..I did horrible. Luckily for my program I didn't need to do exceptionally well. I'm am just about done with school forever.. For this last semester, I am writing my dissertation. Good luck to you!!!

Good morning Yardies!!! I'm trying not to get sick. Loading up on my vitamin C! :unsure:

Today is my man's medical so I'm sending good vibes to him. He such a big baby (doesn't like needles, etc) I still love him :whistle:

Glad his medical went ok.

We leave on Saturday and come back Monday. Steve is doing all the cooking while we are there. We will probably go out to eat once and go swimming alot (hope no one is around so we can cristen the water, ha, ha) and get buck wild down and dirty, winding our bodies until we pass out freaky!!!! While I was out yesterday, I stopped and picked up this hot lil number with matching boy shorts! Its close to the same color as the dress I got married in... Imma knock his socks off. Also, Im going to have tea light candles all around the room! Imma do the dayum thing! Im perform for him. Hahahahahahahahahaha

To my surprise, my car insurance only went up about $100 (for a 6 month term) when I added Steven. I thought it would double.

Wow! That's great. I was wondering how much mine may go up. He is studying the driving book now.

I just feel like I don't have enough time to really plan things out like I want to. :wacko: Then my family is working my last nerves!!! I just feel the best thing would be courthouse and then plan a reception a little later. We always said we wanted to get married in Jamaica anyways so we can always renew our vows and have a ceremony there at some point! :thumbs:

Dens, I know how you feel 100% I didn't get excited until the actual day of my wedding. Dayum immigrations for wanting things done THEIR way! hahahahha.. But sis, it will all come together! As a wise woman on this site told me (Phillyfashionista) the important part is the marriage. We will be renewing our vows and having a reception in October 2010 if all goes well... prayerfully...

Hey yardies......been a long time since I been on here! Got a silly question that I'm sure someone will know the answer to.....I will be in the ATL area in 2 weeks and was wondering if anyone can recommend any Jamaican restaurants? I will actually be satying about 2 hours away from there in Alabama but we might go to the ATL for the day to hang.....Thanks a bunch

This guy got denied at his interview in Nigeria. The reason given was that neither of them had met the others' parents.

This is really sad.

Good morning all

I have been really tired lately my grandma has been in the Kindred hospital since July. She has an Aortic Aneurysm that has been leaking for years with complications. Then last Tuesday she went to the hospital for Pnuemoia (sp) and her kidneys failed, so yesterday they tried to give her a shut for dialysis (sp) and it went bad she threw up over 2 cups of blood and flat lined .... They brought her back by the grace of God, She is now in ICU and she has a tube down her throat for breathing, and she is 20% responsive.

Ladies if I have ever needed you this is the time Prayer works please help

I left the hospital at 12 midnight I was there since 3pm Im trying today to get this work done so I can leave early and go back up there. Since its a short Holiday week the rehab and therapist reports need to be type emailed and distributed out by tomorrow. So Im worker bee today.

I want Smileys but Im just not in the mood. :(

My other grandma passed from a car accident 2years ago, so I cant handle if I loose this one

Happy New Year to everyone. I learned along time ago not to make resolutions because it sets expectations too high for me... I do plan on having short term and long term goals however. For 2010 Im trying to renew my vows with Steve so that his family can be there this time. I plan on saving to take my children with us to JA in 2011. I filing for AOS in January so we are praying it all goes smoothly. And in 2012 we hope to purchase a home. With God's grace we will make it! :thumbs:

Hello & happy 2010 to all!!! Its been almost a week since i've been on here. This is due to the quality time i've been enjoying with S.O. He arrived safe & sound @ JFK airport here in NY. According to him the Delta flight was smooth all the way to NY. As I welcomed him to NY/America he interjected & said "you mean d ice box". I then said, this is nothing.40s is good compared to the freezing temps we just had & will be getting again.

Unfortunately the following morning I had to work. I did however inform him, if he goes downstairs, he can interact with my brother & my mother.

Throughout the week, I showed him two malls in area & introduced him to friends of mine which he has spoken to. Luckily for him, he has some friends here in NY area that he can link up with, one of which is my cousin.

New Years Eve, we stayed in. We watched ball drop in city on the tv. So far so good!! He is just anxious to get a job to contribute. I keep explaining, in due time!!

Girl, Don't stress yourself out. We made last minute plans for Vegas and the family is trying their best to keep up. Unfortunately, the tickets are outrageous. We didn't have time to consider everyone's opinion. We wanted to do something that would be special for the both of us. We are planning a big wedding in Sept. so everyone can join in the fun then. Plan a short destination wedding @ St. Simons Island or even Vegas. The weddings are pretty inexpensive and you don't have to settle for just a JP ceremony.

Update: Visa's being mailed tomorrow- APPROVED- My man will be here this Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm joking I know you are pretty busy right now trying to pack, make sure you have everything and get ready for his arrival so I truly understand.

I know you can’t wait until Sunday. Don’t come out the airport doing the Soulja boy when yuh see him... LOL Your staying for two weeks right?
