Hello & happy 2010 to all!!! Its been almost a week since i've been on here. This is due to the quality time i've been enjoying with S.O. He arrived safe & sound @ JFK airport here in NY. According to him the Delta flight was smooth all the way to NY. As I welcomed him to NY/America he interjected & said "you mean d ice box". I then said, this is nothing.40s is good compared to the freezing temps we just had & will be getting again.

Unfortunately the following morning I had to work. I did however inform him, if he goes downstairs, he can interact with my brother & my mother.

Throughout the week, I showed him two malls in area & introduced him to friends of mine which he has spoken to. Luckily for him, he has some friends here in NY area that he can link up with, one of which is my cousin.

New Years Eve, we stayed in. We watched ball drop in city on the tv. So far so good!! He is just anxious to get a job to contribute. I keep explaining, in due time!!

Thats wonderful! It seems like he will adjust well :star:

Well Yardies, I leave out next Sunday for Jamaica to see my Sweetie and to attend our interview on 1/13/10! I'm double checking and making sure we have all documents and supporting docs! I got the folder and labels all ready....

I pray that all goes well. This fool in Yemen is messing things up for folks  Claim it sis and its yours! :)

Thank God noone was killed. This is awful!!

For all the Wii-ers trying to get fit. Try the EA Sports Active and the EA Sports Active More Workouts.

I found one at #######'s Sporting Goods before Christmas for $19.99. I guess I should crack it open.

Thanks, Philly. I go plenty of music to add to my ipod now.

ok ladies he said that he sat in the immigration part forever .. they asked him similar questions to the interview and when we were getting married he said we were supposed to get married january but she broke her foot so we will see... The customes lady he said asked him about all the seasoning

He got her like 1 30 cause his flight was delayed ... when he got here it was great we hugged adn talked and  ...lol

then we got up and made breakfast ... he keep saying its cold .. i had to go shoping this morning but he decided to stay home he said i cant mangae the cold this morning ... so i got home right before the kids .... When their dad dropped them off i let him answer the door the look on my sons face was priceless ... so since they came home they have stolen him away lol... I must say this is the best Christmas ever thank you Jesus ....

i want you all to know that I am so grateful for the support you have given me thus far and i know when i need it in the future you all will be there..

So happy for you. Sounds like had a wonderful Christmas!

:ot: I know I am a psychiatric social worker and have to be ready for anything, but why did a lady just walk in my office with poop in her cupped hands and tells me to help her get rid of it because she does not want the FBI to collect it. I ran out past her and went straight to the nurse's station (the nurse was laughing so hard she was crying). Now, I can take anything, threats, knives, broken crack pipes, name it...but not bodily fluids and other stuff...I think it's time to go home, see ya all lata!:ot2:

:wow:

Still catching up....

Echo that! I've REALLY enjoyed this vacation, especially since it's the first one in a very long time where I didn't go out of town/country. Just getting to relax was awesome.

Cheers to all to a great year in our personal, spiritual, professional, and home lives. May we have favor in all we do. <insert toast-giving smiley>

Amen Nat!

MrsTee, that seemed like a short trip. Welcome back.

JaHoney, how far a flight is it to Jamaica for you? I'm not a fan of that flight, even though it's only about 3.25 hrs from Houston.

------

At our Infopass, I was able to confirm that the biometrics results were applied to both cases on the day we had it. Regarding the RFE requesting a full medical, the lady suggested we only send back the vaccination record & a note saying people who come on K-1 visas don't require another full medical. However, she also pointed out that if they misplaced the medical results (DS-3025) somewhere between the US Embassy, POE, & USCIS, then he will have to retake it.

USCIS told someone on another thread to call CBP at the POE to request a copy of the DS-3025. I may try that.

Happy New Year Yardies!! and Good Morning.

I hope everyone had a blessed holiday. All is well here. We drove to Arkansas for the holidays to visit family and the family loved Ivan!!! He made jerk chicken for Christmas dinner and it was a big hit. Needless to say, everyone has been calling to get the recipe. We are also planning the final touches to our wedding day. We are getting married January 16 at the Belleza Chapel in Las Vegas. We pretty much have dresses, suits, etc...Just need to purchase a few more accessories. I see that a couple of you are facing challenges with the medical for your AOS filings. We will be preparing for that soon. Any suggestions???

@Spanglas-Hang in there girl. I know its frustrating, but things will turn around soon. You guys are in my prayers.

@JaP - Good luck on your c-section

@ Denswifey - Hey girl, happy new year. Looks like your interview is quickly approaching

@ JaQ - I'm going to PM you to get the happenings in Vegas. Need suggestions on a good salon, cheap show tickets and reggae clubs..

Well I'm going to try to catch up on the 100 pages that I am behind..

Congrats on your upcoming wedding charandivan!

Happy New Year Char!! Glad to hear all went well with Ivan and the fam...that's always great when the fam loves 'em. Congrats on the pending wedding, I know you're going to be beautiful! Yes, the interview will be next Wednesday, I leave out on Sunday to head to Jamaica. So ready to get this on over with. Be blessed!

Hey Den's Wed will be here before you know it I know you are excited! any special plans for your vacation?

Morning Ladies Happy New Year!

1luv...

My husband is not my daughter's father.

Her father is married to someone else, whom I like very much. She is a great stepmom and I can honestly say we are friends.

Well on Christmas morning he took the car and took the bank card and left FL and drove all the way back to MD...

He is already staying with another girl. Saying she (his wife) cheated on him and got violent... which makes me laugh.

Turns out he has been arrested at least 3 times in the past 5 years for beating her. She had to get staples in her head and stitches in her mouth!

I hope this new girl gets a clue before she gets hurt....

Oh God Irie, that is horrible, glad you are not with him anymore...

Philly,

Yes, Wednesday will be here in no time. We ready!!! No special plans at all for my vacation there. I will probably go and hear Den play at some spots in Ocho and visit with his family before I leave. It will be my last trip to JA for a while so I hope to get in all my fun while I'm there but nothing is planned. Denton has hinted that he has something special planned but I will have to wait and see what that is all about.

I was reading that on some other thread as well. It's hard to believe that they are losing that much of the medicals. I read a lot of folks complaining.
