This is very helpful information. Nat, will you add this and any other info you think is important to the Yardie Visa Survival thread??

I have to remember to tell him the things to ask for at Medical & POE

His Medical is on Wed.

He went this morning to see them and show them his vaccination card.

It is not going to be AS much as we thought last week, but still pretty expensive.

He went to a few clinics to try and get the shots but they tell him only private Dr. can do it. Something bout the Govt. not allowing the clinics to admin. shots for immigration

Anyway, he has enough to go to MoBay Hope on Wed. and get it done. Thank God.

Good luck JaP

Really, wow thats going to make it so difficult because they will charge so much$$$ Hubby went to a clinic in Kingston and had no issues....positive vibes I hope he is able to get through

Den will go in the morning to MoBay Hope to get his medical. I instructed him to see if they will go ahead and update his vaccination card! We praying its not too much!!

Good Luck Den's!

So Steven called MoBay Hope today to see if they could fax over the DS-3025. They gave him the same answer when he asked for a copy in person: No. They said they only release that to the US Embassy, and if the Embassy needs another copy, they can contact MoBay Hope directly.

But then we found that he doesn't need that form (or shouldn't, at least) to get the right section of the I-693 filled out, since the only part the Dr will fill out is the vaccination records part (and his/her contact info). That makes me VERY happy that I had Steven go back to his primary doctor in Negril to get a vaccination card.

JaPrincess, I'm really surprised they'd say that. I can understand them saying they won't do the medical, but any doctor can give a shot. I doubt you even need to tell them what it's for, other than "good health."

I will go update one of those other threads to strongly encourage future applicants to get a copy of the DS-3025 at the medical, if they give it, and at POE, if they didn't. I'll also emphasize the importance of having a vaccination record and getting it updated at the medical. Steven didn't get his updated at the medical, so it doesn't show the two shots he had there. I hope they don't have him re-take those 2 shots.

Thanks Nat, I saw the update in the Yardie Visa Survival thread

I have no clue why he could not get the shots elsewhere... he went to a clinic in Grange Hill, the Hospital in Lucea and asked the Clinic in Dias months ago... all three places said they could not give him the shots

I am just thankful that he will have enough when he goes to MoBay on Wed.

Now I am wondering about a next thing...

So I am scheduled to have a c-section on Jan. 4th and his interview is scheduled for Jan. 14th

The affidavit of support does not include Lilla. My income is enough to cover the additional person @ 125% of poverty, but her name is not on the I-134 he has that I signed... Should I fill out another one and send it to him?? I kinda don't want to do that until she is born. Only God knows what will happen ya know... But then I am going to be in the hospital for 3-5 days and not able to print/sign/scan immigration papers  Maybe if he just tells them that I had the baby and they see I make enough to cover the income requirement it will be okay

Not quite sure what to do.... I guess I should ask in the main forum

any thoughts??

hi yardies!!!

princess maybe he should try another clinic and just tell them he wants the shots for good health as Nat suggested

as far as the form i would err on the side of caution but i wouldn't revise that form until your baby girl is born and healthy, either way you're gonna have to fed ex it so you may as well wait till your little girl is safe and sound

I'm going to remind him again tonight when we talk and text him as well in the a.m. so hopefully he won't forget!! :bonk:

:ot: i'm trying to strike up a love affair with cottage cheese and so far we're very luke warm towards each other

additionally, after i spent half hour this morning trying to get in touch with andrews to find out the cost of the shots. i'm going off the medical form i'm supposed to fill out which is provided on the visa site and it would cost me an additional 12 gran to get all the shots if i needed all of them

comparing my record with their requirements, i'm gonna need about 5 or 6 shots (DAMNIT!)

JAP, I'm no expert but I don't think that will be a problem. Your daughter will only be less than 10 days old at the time of the interview...awww! It would seem that you should be fine as long as you include her when its time to AOS. I might be totally wrong!
