hey dw.. lol (like on arthur)

im kinda down today.. my mama is VERY serious bout our family staying together on ALL holidays.. she used to trip when i allowed my girls to go spend a holiday with their dads family and ESP if I on the RARE occasion went over there..

well at least my and my ex's families lived within 15 min of each other..

BUT NOW... omg, she is SOOOOOOOOOO mad at me that we are going to Atlanta to be w/ Roger's childhood friend.

She said christmas is for FAMILY.. i said " he is my family"

i mean GOSH.. we have made every other occasion..Roger loves my family, but its nice to be around your own people sometimes when possible.. just cuz she dragged all of her SO's to be w/ our family every holiday doesn't mean thats the law..

i know where she's coming from, this would be the FIRST xmas without me and right after i marry this foreign guy she knows nothing about LOL but DANG..

(sighs) i hope we can reconcile b4 i leave

I am in the some boat quana, my family is having xmas get together in CT, but we are going to PA so Anthony can be around his friends, I feel like he is always around my family and friends, so I just want him to feel a little at home for the holiday and be able to kick back with his friends for a change. My mom hasn't given grieve about it though...

If that is not the TRUE!!! but one of my seasoned co-worker who has been married for 25yrs, told me men are not planners, so me getting upset that he didn't come up with something for us to do over the weekend is not worth the stress. So now I come up with three things i thing would be fun and then he just pick, and we have this talk all the time he just don't know what to around here, not like I do either, I googled everything.

thats good advice, esp, cuz i love to plan, i don't mind coming up w/ stuff so much.. roger is different that my first hubby in that he makes time for my plans, he always is willing to enjoy time w/ me, but then again he's not working yet... i hope he keeps it up

my problem w/ roger used to be more of not taking care of business. its funny cuz things always seemed to fall together for him somehow.. so pretty soon i just stopped worrying about it but its hard, esp when ur used to knowing step B before you get to step A.. i wasn't comfortable ALLOWING things to happen.. but we are learning to compromise our two styles

girl yeah.. he had his gc bout 2 weeks ago.. and dl last week.. he is official!!! our aos took only 2 mnths!!

Well Quana try not to be too down but you are a mother yourself so put yourself in her shoes. One day your girls will be grown with families of their own and they won’t need mama as much as they used to.

She just wants to be with her kids on Xmas is all but at the same time your trying to compromise with your hubby who is your family so you are correct too. Times like this too bad there isn’t two of you. LOL

I hope she comes around but knowing us mothers it might take her a minute.

We got our biometrics appointment letter yesterday, for January 4. Why is the place in another city????? I don't even know if Steven would be able to catch the bus down there, so we're going to walk-in on Wednesday afternoon when they let me off early from work. Hopefully we can do it then so I don't have to take time off to go in Jan.

Okay Yardies...its time for the issue of the day....

I know we all love our significant others and for 99.9% of the time everything is all good...but that .1% sometimes I want to strangle the heck outta mine! I can't understand for the life of me why we as women see things clearly and men, well they on a whole different level...sometimes I think where is their logic in things. Am I the only one with a special SO? Please tell me there has to be more out there...love him to pieces but bless his heart sometimes!!!!

Ha ha.....no I hate when people say women are so complicated. I,can't for the life of me, see their reasoning sometimes. You want to smack them and say wake the ** up and get a clue. It's not that difficult to figure out!!!!

There will always be family issues. There does come a time though when you say I am an adult and I have to make other decisions. You have to give all family time throughout the year; but how you dish is out is up to you. Stand your ground. Do what you feel is right for YOU.
