Dang, that I-94 replacement fee is $320!!! Highway robbery.

Someone told me it takes 2 weeks to get fully into everyone's system. They have to upload that stuff. Forget who said that? The bank maybe.

I heard that on this site. So we waited 2 weeks to apply for the SSN.

Is there anything you can get before AOS like a bank account?

Yup! Bank account, SS card, driver's license (in some states, not Texas). Friday I applied to add Steven to my lease. I noticed when the lady made copies of his passport, she only copied the ID page and the visa. I'm glad she didn't copy the I-94 page as that expires this week; hopefully they'll use the visa page instead. I should find out today or tomorrow if they approve his application.

Hey Heaven - there is a form by which you can request a replacement:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/info/info_2009.html#I-94

thank you sus !

Did you see the replacement fee for that is $320!!!!!!

Yes, it's crazy - but that's if you lose it - there is something about no fee if they goof up -

Yes you can get a bank account...just make sure the I-94 isn't expired.

Okay we are going to go for that! Steve is reading the driver's manual now and I will take him out for some lessons. He knows how to a little bit.

thats true for ssa to get the info from dhs nat, but what she means here is that AFTER you apply for the ssn, it takes 2 weeks for everyone else in the world to have verification that number is valid in THEIR system..

we had filed for walmart card few days ago and they could not verify his ssn.. just applied for a best buy card tho and its THERE!!!!!!!!!!!! yayyy  he was denied tho, not enough credit history LOL

Sus, I'm surprised that the affidavit is available for public viewing.

Dens....thanks for sharing...I think I am cramping now just for reading it!!!

So if you don't shed the lining, does that mean you don't get menstrual cycles?

Sorry guys...disclaimer...please don't continue reading if you're faint at heart!!!!

Not necessarily, it varies for whatever reason you're having the procedure. Most of the time, you hear of it alot when a woman miscarriages and they basically go in and like vaccum the remains out. It's such an invasive procedure that's why after a woman has had maybe one or two unsuccessful pregnancies they might recommend to let things pass naturally as opposed to doing a D&C. One of my friends just had a miscarriage and they had her come in to the doctor's office like 3 times for blood work to ensure her hormones levels had dropped and the body had naturally let the baby go as opposed to them performing a D&C!

So there are many reasons why they might perform a D&C, but its not a fun procedure to undergo at all. (So I've heard)

I heard a lot of conspiracy theories yesterday - Reading this, I think he got greedy and overly cocky - thought he was untouchable. What a shame, waste of a good talent - he had a period a few years ago where he was banned from the US over his weed convictions - Now this?
