hey everyone. i wanted to know if there is a way to contact the DOS by email instead of calling the Visa Information at 202-663-1225 because it is very pricey from where i live. i tried contacting them through email and it said there was a $25 fee! i found this website also,http://contact-us.state.gov/cgi-bin/state.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php but in a box it tells me to enter my wac number from the USCIS, i wanted to see if there is a way i can enter my CASE NUMBER and see the status of our Administrative process ? thanks in advance

I'm assuming you want the National Visa Service Center of the Dept of State. Get the contact info and instructions here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html. Are you doing DCF or something? Why is it so expensive to call? Are you a beneficiary? No national plan on the cell phone?

The NVC’s e-mail address is NVCINQUIRY@state.gov.

In order to ensure a prompt response:

The Subject Line of the e-mail should be the relevant NVC Case Number.

Provide the applicant’s name and date of birth and the petitioner’s name and date of birth.

If you are an attorney, include the name of the law office requesting the information.

If the petition is employment-based, include the company/organizational name.

Reference only one case per e-mail.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I am done with the NVC, i know that when i email them i have to include my name and DOB and my husbands name and DOB and case number as well, but i am asking if there is a way to email the DOS...the DOS number is 202-663-1225 . i am not referring to the NVC.The NVC said they are done with our case, i am the petitioner and my husband is the beneficiary. The NVC completed out case back in July and we had an interview at the Jerusalem consulate on 9/11/2009 and were put in AP. some helpful people on here told me to call DOS and see the status of my case because when i email the JRS embassy they always give me the same bs, so i called many times but its too expensive. The phone we use for international calls is out and has been for over 3 weeks now ;( i just wish there was a way to email them!
