Erm, that's very kind of you but my birfday isn't until April. I think I screwed up while adding the event to the calendar or maybe something went wrong with the forum transfer or sumpin...:blush::blush: I went and edited the date and it had the right date on the message, I don't know what's up. Sorry guys but um thanks anyway, you rock!

And happy birthday to those who do deserve it. :star:

A few days ago I noticed on VJ my wife's birthday coming up. I deleted the entry , must have something to do with it being a "reocurring event" or so... btw hers is in September.

Entry in the USA: May 13 2005

10 yr GC approved: October 5 2007

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Canada

Whewwwww , glad i did not waste a happy Bday wish!! Have a great day all

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I think the recurring events on the calendar are quite messed up. Pedro's birthday is listed for today but when you click on the link that takes you the calendar it says: "Event Date: 30 June 2004 ends 30-November 09 (Recurring Event)"

Weirdness.
