Hey, guys.

I'm away from home visiting my family right now, but I called a friend to check our mailbox for our NOA1's. She called and said that we received a letter from DHS that was an NOA but said that it was for receipt of both our I-485 and for the EAD (we didn't apply for AP). I'm wondering why I only had one NOA1 and not separate NOA1's like everyone else. Also, the number started with "MSC" which isn't one of the options, I thought, for the receipt numbers....I'm not sure and I'm kind of worried about it. I can't see the status online which worries me more....

All of mine start with MSC

We were there for about an hour, but most of that was waiting. The actual part where they took his biometrics lasted 10 minutes.

I was happy to have recieved my NOAs today via mail. Went to the DMV (for the 3rd time) straight away to get my DL. And guess what?????....

I was bloody turned down (as I predicted before)!!! :crying: Now they were asking for an I-130. We explained why I don't have it, but they just didn't understand. My hubby was irrate because they didn't give us the correct info right from the start.

I guess I'm gonna have to sit here for another 3 months til I get my EAD.

Hi Guys.. I was planning to file late this month but it looks like I may do it next week or so, I am a little cornfuzzled here.. Do K-1 Visa holders (after entering US and getting married in US) need to send in a I-130 form as well when doing the next step which is AOS? If not, at what point do we fill out an I-130?

Thanks and Happy New Year!

I'm a bit concerned that we still haven't received the RFE. I got the text message about it on Christmas day, saying that it was issued on 12/24/09. That was 7 days ago.

I called USCIS customer service & the lady told me that at an Infopass appointment, they can assist with both of my concerns:

  • Was my biometrics applied to the I-765 as well as the I-485? Only the I-485 showed an updated date online.
  • Can I get a copy of my RFE

So I scheduled an Infopass appointment for 7:30am Monday morning. I'm REALLY hoping that if we get there by 7:15, we'll be one of the firsts so I can get to work (30 min away) for 9:00.

At least I've been there before (during my abnormally long I-129F wait) so I'm familiar with the area.

I'm sure the holidays are slowing mail down a bit, plus the snow storms lately, as well. I hope your InfoPass appointment is informative. Let us know how it goes, ok?

We got an RFE notification this morning. I'm interested to know what it is, although I have a few guesses.

:( I hope it's not for the 693. Your profile picture is lovely btw! If it is for the 693 let me know, I will give you the name of the doctor I used in Omaha.

Well, I just got home and looked in the mailbox. I do have two separate NOA1's-my friend opened our biometrics appointment letter. We're supposed to be there on the 11th at 2:00 pm. Our biometrics office is two hours away. I'm going to have take most of the day off work to go down there, which really sucks, but oh well.

I still can't access our case online, but I'm expecting to get on RFE soon for the I-693....

I want to join the December AOS filing party. Roberto and I filed on December 2nd and went to biometrics on the 28th. Biometrics were really fast in Louisville because we were the only ones there. We got an RFE in the mail on the 28th for the I-693. We got a full new medical and transcription and sent it all off on the 31st. So now for the wait. But it looks like we have great company to wait with us :)

Best of luck to everyone!

Welcome to all the newer December filers.

We just got our RFE in the mail and it requests a full medical :( I was hoping it would only want those three sections filled out. Since I have an infopass appointment scheduled for tomorrow morning at 7:30am, I'll ask about it. On the bright side, there's a civil surgeon only a mile or so away who will do the full medical for $125. That's WAAAY better than this other civil surgeon who wanted $250 just to fill out the vaccination part.
