Firdaus & snowbunnies, do either of you plan to walk-in early for the biometrics? We did that, but I'm not sure if it has any effect on the timing. I figured it def can't slow things down to do it early.

Got Biometrics and RFE in the mail today. Biometrics on 1/11/10 and RFE for I-693 just like everyone else. This process is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Why require the medical and sealed results just to request the same information later? FRUSTRATING....aarrrggghhh.

Can I get the I-693 done while my hubby is away, or does he have to be present for the transcription?

Exactly, especially since the I-693 instructions explicitly state:

If the vaccination record (DS 3025) was not properly completed and included as part of the original, overseas medical examination report, you will have to have the vaccination report completed by a designated civil surgeon.

But I imagine if the DS 3025 wasn't properly completed, it wouldn't have been accepted somewhere else along the line (Embassy or POE). So it was accepted before, but all of a sudden, it's not complete?

An explanation is that the vaccination requirements have changed since then, or perhaps for some of the shots that require a series, they want us to get the next shot in the series.

Hey guys you got me all thinking... about the RFE on the I-693.... what we did was take our vaccination records, along with her proof of vaccination for H1N1 and TB test (those two were done here after she arrived)...to a CS here in the US, the documents we had from the CS in Venezuela when she had her medical, and they transcribed the information into a new form and put it in a sealed envelope which we submitted along with our application, were we supposed to do anything else???

BEST OF LUCKS!!

Also, our package arrived there today :).... hopefully next week we'll hear something... Me being extremely optimist....

Regards.....
