Still no news for us...called today and got the standard red-tape response "Your case was transferred and is still within processing times for your local field office". The operator told me that although our case was transferred to CSC, final processing is done in the Atlanta Field office that is still working on September 2009 cases. AAArRRRGGHHHH!

Of course I asked her if the delay could be tied to the whole Christopher "Dudus" Coke extradition ordeal...I definitely don't want to be in any fallout if the US decides to play hardball. AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!

Congrats to all of you that have made through USCIS for a little while at least.

Similar delay here. Case transferred on 1/19, no touches since it arrived in CSC on 1/27.

Congrats! I read your other post in the other forum as well, almost what we went thru as well. My wife had her interview today @ 10am, waited about 30-40/mins in the lobby. It is so packed out there and with people talking, the agent would have to call the name out 2-4/times, they should use a PA system instead. Anyways, interview took 15/mins about and after the interview(I did most of the answering as the lady that interviewed us pretty much said, doesn't matter who answers the questions  ). We had some laughs with my answers and her questions, so it felt pretty relax in the office during our interiew. After all that, she stated, "I need to review your case a little bit more and if I need anything, you'll hear from me within a week, if not, then you can expect your GC in the mail within 30/days". She didn't say if we were approved or denied, so we said, 'OK'. 4/hrs later, USCIS site was updated and I got a txt msg on my phone and the AOS was updated to Card Production Ordered, so yeah! We passed I guess and should be waiting on the GC soon

This was in the Seattle USCIS. I wrote a little more of how the interview went in my timeline.

Good luck to everyone else still waiting

Ingats!

We're exactly the same as you Tygrys. We did a change of address Sunday night. and got a text this morning saying the case had been updated. When we logged in, all three cases were touched April 14, but the information did not change on status. Still just says sent to CSC on January 19. I'm hoping when they look at the case to update the address (we moved), they'll say "Hey, we've not looked at this for three months!"

Good luck!

According to VJ members timelines only 3 transferred cases were approved between 3/19 and now. Before 3/19 they were approving a few almost every day. Good luck to all still waiting!

Awww Tygrys...I don't feel quite so bad now knowing I'm at least in great company. Thankfully, we don't have to be separated from our family with this delay.

Jawi & Tygrys, hope news comes for you soon. While waiting for AOS approval isn't AS bad as waiting for the k1 approval, we all still want closure and a defined immigration status.

Good news! I got update this morning, the card production was ordered! No more worries!

That didn't take long at all! Only one day.

I'm hoping when they look at the case to update the address (we moved), they'll say "Hey, we've not looked at this for three months!"

When my I-129F was taking FOREVER, I updated my address hoping for the same thing. Perhaps you will have better results.

We just got back from our interview -APPROVED!!!!   We could have not asked for a nicer immigration officer. She smiled the whole time while she asked Willie and I some questions. Where I was born, where we met, when did I meet him in person, where did he take me, what did we do and what we love about each other. While looking at our files, she saw our his and hers tattoos. She smiled then said 'so you'll got a tattoos huh?' We both nodded and said yes. She continued to look at our files, but never once asked for other proofs. After making her notes, she said 'Willie, I'm going to approve you. The tattoos did it for me'. Thank goodness it's over!

Thanks to my fellow VJ'ers. Like I said once before, I could have not done it without your help. Good luck to all that are still waiting for their approvals.

hi everyone! sorry it's been so long. we had our inteview on monday, and we were approved pending a signature from the civil surgeon who forgot to sign one page. grrrr....oh well. the man interviewing us was very kind and was surprised that we had brought an interpreter. it was really weird though, becasue the only questions he asked were the ones on the back of the I-485. in the past ten years have you been a prostitute? are you a terrorist, have you been a terrorist or do you plan on becoming a terrorist? my husband was just laughing the whole time. he hardly looked at our paperwork and didn't even bother to look at our pictures. he just took a bank statement to prove joint banking, insurance papers, and our lease agreement.

congratulations to everyone!

a signature from the civil surgeon who forgot to sign one page.

ARGH! Us too! But we had a heck of a time getting that squared away. We had to go to a completely different CS to get it worked out. Anyway, at least that is a well defined task, as opposed to the rather nebulous "evidence of relationship".

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

On the 19th of a month: I-129F sent in, POE, green card received

On the 25th of a month: Steven proposed, we got married. <-- Didn't realize until a week ago that we got married on the exact same date that he proposed, but one yr later.

Green card arrived yesterday! Time for a 1.75 yr break from USCIS! :star:

Hi,

Our interview is coming up in about a month. Do we have to get another certified copy of the marriage license? We only got one and sent it along with our package when we filed. I made a copy of it. Should I bring the copy along? It seems to me they should already have the certified one I sent. What do ya'll think?

Thanks!

Me and my hubby went back to the Civil Registry office where we initially applied for marriage license and asked for 3 certifed copies. We sent one with the AOS packet and kept the original with us to bring to the interview on April 27, 2010.
