We had our interview today in Irving Texas. It was the easiest part of the entire visa journey by now!!! APPROVED!

No questions asked but date of birth and the standard questions about : have you ever used illegal drugs,etc...

So relieved at last!

Good luck to the rest of you waiting on their interviews

We are one of the last December AOS fillers... filled on Dec 31,2009... and hanging in between December and January fillers ... this is why I posted our experience on both topics... cheers

The next big project is finding a decent job, which seems pretty tough too ...

Sometimes it is; sometimes it isn't.

We looked on Craigslist & saw a post to work at a new cafe opening nearby. My husband applied last week, had interview this week, & got the job. That was the first place he applied.

To add to the blessing, it's a Jamaican restaurant... and he's FROM Jamaica. We didn't even know that when we applied.

Congratulations, Minaadi! :star:

Passed the interview today with no approval letter! The officer said she could not give me the approval letter, becasue FBI hadn't finished the name check! Don't know what to say. Frastrated. Never heard anything like this. I am very clean, no crime or anything like that ever. :(

They will probably approve it immediately after finishing the FBI background checking....

Just give it some time... I know that it is pretty frustrating but at least it is not a denial, right....

How did the interview go?

I have read about these name checks sometimes taking longer than anticipated such that they are not complete before the interview. It's not unheard of, so I wouldn't worry too much. I know it's disappointing not to have the answer now, but at least everything YOU can control is in order and approved. Hopefully, it will go quickly.

Still no news for us...called today and got the standard red-tape response "Your case was transferred and is still within processing times for your local field office". The operator told me that although our case was transferred to CSC, final processing is done in the Atlanta Field office that is still working on September 2009 cases. AAArRRRGGHHHH!

Of course I asked her if the delay could be tied to the whole Christopher "Dudus" Coke extradition ordeal...I definitely don't want to be in any fallout if the US decides to play hardball. AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!

Congrats to all of you that have made through USCIS for a little while at least.
