please any one can help me i had my interview on march 4 the io asked us to bring the form g835 and some of bills in our name

we did the same day but until today nothing online either on mail

thanks

How would you like us to help you?

Perhaps some who've had interviews but were told to bring things back can give you an idea of how long it took to hear something. So far, I don't think any December AOS filers have had that experience. Perhaps you can start a new thread to ask, or ask the October or November AOS filers.

Congrats to all of you with approvals! Wishing for speedy approvals for those still waiting.

Our interview is tomorrow! We have been getting everything together, a very thin pile of the specific things on the list, and also getting together the "other" stuff if needed for proof of relationship and such. Guess we finally get to find out if that medical thing is a problem anymore...:-/

Anyway, hope to report back tomorrow afternoon with good news!

Hello December filers!

I actually filed in January, but I was wondering...

Did any of you get your EAD without getting notice by email first? I ask because I signed up for emails, but my case hasn't been touched in over a month, despite having sent in a request for RFE and receiving my appointment letter. I was just wondering if I can expect to see the EAD approval in the mail or if there will definitely be an email first.

Thanks for your help!

Well, the interview was......interesting.

Seemed to go alright with just a few bumps (Nik gave us a blank stare when she asked him to "Tell me about your trip last March 2009" and I got in trouble for saying two words: "Wedding - Hawaii" trying to shake something loose for him). A bit later, she seemed to make a decision, and she says, "Oh, there's just one more thing...about this I693...." And my heart sank.

The person who had filled it out had signed on Part 6 instead of Part 5!!! :ranting: I hadn't thought to look because at the time I didn't realize that CS's were doing that. Anyway, the IO thought that it should be a simple thing to take it back to the CS and explain they filled it out wrong and get them to sign part 5. She wrote a little note on the interview letter to give to the security guys on our way out which said we would be back in a couple of hours.

We went to the CS, and we weren't even allowed to talk to the Dr. The Nurse informed us that she doesn't sign that part, and despite my pointing out on the RFE we were handed that only part 5 was missing, they flatly and adamantly refused. They did refund our money though, which was OK, I guess...Rushed home, got our phones working trying to find someone who would do it, found one guy on the way back to the office who said "cash only" and when I insisted he sign part 5, suddenly he balked. :ranting:

We went back to the USCIS office (she told us come back no matter what, so she could give us a 30 day RFE if unsuccessful - no phone numbers etc), told her what happened - To her astonished disbelief, apparently... (REALLY?! We can't be the only ones!!!) She went and got a supervisor, and meanwhile, we networked in the waiting room where someone mentioned that they had gone to such and such doctor for their medicals and found them reasonable.

Anyway, Supervisor IO gave us a spiel about the medicals and also adamantly said that only part 1 part 2 vaccination section AND part 5 were required...I'm like, Lady, you're preaching to the choir here! They said that other CS's in the area regularly did the I-693's correctly, but they naturally couldn't recommend any. *sigh*

Anyway, we were issued a 30 day RFE for the vaccination supplement, and she said she would keep an eye out for it, because we were having so much trouble. She was actually pretty friendly, and seemed to want to help - just had her hands tied by policy or whatever.

We went to the Dr. recommended in the waiting room, and got it done for $20! Then I'm standing out in the parking lot checking things over - because NO WAY am I sending anything back which doesn't look right this time! They had spelled Nik's last name wrong. ARGH! :ranting: She fixed it and sealed it up again, gave us a fresh copy and off we went to the post office. $4 and it should be across town tomorrow.

Hope this nightmare is over now! She definitely said we are approved pending a fixed up I-693. Oh yeah, and I totally have a :dead: head cold today. Not a good day to tick me off.

Nik + Heather, sorry to hear about your troubles.

At least it seems things are back on track now. Don't you wish you'd known about the $20 CS sooner. It's a shame their prices are so variable.
