Hello everyone. Congrats to those who have gotten one step closer.

Just wanted to let everyone know we got both the approval letter and green card today. The letter that says "Welcome to America" Says we should get the card soon ( I forget they did give a time frame), but they came together.

It was almost 2 months to the day for us!!

Good luck to those still waiting.

Am new here and am happy that there is a forum for December filers.

I was impressed that my packet with everything possible completed and documented for I-130 & I-485 arrived safely during snowstorms in Chicago.

Totally confused that I have an I-485 interview appointment in Phoenix (I live in Northern AZ) in March -- yet biometrics were scheduled in Las Vegas (much more fun). Some bureaucrat is having a joke on me or what -- I wish they would google my address and get it right.

Congrats to Thompson2 for happy outcomes!

I have been reading that others here have had similar experiences with the USCIS ''online status'' being foggy at best. I find it odd that I am having the interview in advance of my approval for I-130 --

Cheers

Maybe the rules about the regions are different for biometrics than interviews (ie: Biometrics can be closest office regardless of state, but interviews must be by state?)

Anyway, please be sure to tell us how your interview goes in Phoenix, we'll be in there just a week after you!

Hi everyone,

So I have been getting touches on my I-485, but not for my EAD and AP. Has anyone had something similar? Perhaps they are waiting on my biometrics maybe? Thanks!

EAD definitely waits for biometrics. If you haven't done bio yet, no chance of EAD.

We are busliy getting things together for our interview. I don't think it will be too difficult, but I don't want to go in under-gunned, as it were. He's already got a credit card on the account (waiting for a job = credit score to be full on co-owner), and changed my checking account to have him on there. I guess I need to get his name on a few bills. Car insurance, etc. Not to mention finally getting the wedding pictures put together.

I guess in some ways the interview is good. Get us into gear about getting things set up properly.

We had a touch on our AOS on February 12, but no news on the approval/GC yet. I'm sure it will be soon, though, from the sound of everyone else's progress!

After I added my husband to the checking account, I ordered new checks that have both of our names on them. We've used that a few times to show something linking both of us to our address.

------

It's great to see early Dec filers having the I-485 approved already. I notice the Approved Ones didn't have RFE's, so perhaps those of us who did are about 3-4 weeks away from our approvals.

Congrats on the progress, everyone!

USCIS received our RFE on Tuesday (took me a while to get the guts to mail and make sure we had everything). Still no touches on our case. I know I'm being paranoid, but I keep freaking out that we didn't do something correctly. I know we did, and I need to calm down. If I haven't heard anything by next week, I'll start worrying.

Hope everyone has a great day!
