Congratulations on all the progress, everyone!!!!

Last night, they checked my husband's skin test which, of course was positive (he had the BCG vaccine when he was about 10 years old). The nurse who administered the test told us to expect a positive reaction, but that nurse wasn't there last night. The woman who checked it immediately freaked out and ran to get a doctor. I understand that they have to report a positive result to the Health Department, but it was so dramatic. We were put in isolation, wore masks---the whole deal. They did an emergency chest x-ray (amazing how fast people move when they think there is a case of TB in the hospital  ) The x-ray was negative (as we predicted), but they told my husband to stay in isolation (i.e. our apartment) until the state epidemiologist confirmed the negative chest x-ray. They called last night and told me that they strongly recommend me getting a test because I had traveled "in a third world country." So....slow moving here, it looks like. Hopefully this will all get cleared up before our appointment with the CS.

Wow! Well, hopefully you can tell your grand kids about the whole hullabaloo with a smile on your face.

Timeline

We received an e-mail today from the senator's representative that USCIS New Orleans requested my husband's file for review in order to see what's going on with the RFE. After calling the civil surgeon's office today, they said they need blood work which before they stated they only needed a list of vaccinations which we had to go get the TB testing and flu vaccine. We thought we would get an appointment today but only another delay to wait for blood work. Maybe we're having the delays to give time for the review of his file. We'll hold off for now on getting the full medical to give them a chance to review his file. Hopefully, it'll be a good turn out. Thanks to Nik+Heather for the suggestion. I hope it turns out in our favor like them. Thanks!!

Congrats to those who are getting approvals!!!

I don't think anyone has an interview if their case is transferred to CSC. I kind of preferred having an interview, so that we could find out immediately if the case is approved or not, but I'll take what they give me.

I just wish this site had more detailed timelines for AOS steps, similar to the K1 ones. I suggested it in the Site forum section, but no response by the Higher Ups.

I agree. I'm dying to know how long from card production ordered to having the card in hand. From the (very few!) time lines I've sampled lately, it's barely longer than a week! So, now hoping to see it in the mail soon as we got the first email on Monday....

We were looking too. I don't think alot of people on here realize there is a space on the timeline to put the receipt date in. We are keeping our fingers crossed that our AP document comes soon. It says it was mailed Tuesday past...fingers crossed.

Our AP was approved on the 22nd, and I think we got it on...Wednesday? Thursday? So, shortly less than a week. I do think I forgot to put it on the timeline. Sorry. :( I was reading the news though, and it looked like a lot of APs are being reprinted due to errors. Hopefully that doesn't slow things down too much.

Whoo! Hoo! Finally.

On January 27, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION.

Yay! USCIS is really moving along lately! I'm glad you finally received approval on the EAD.

Ian got his APdocuments today, and we were also notified by CSC (regular mail) that they received his AOS paperwork already.

:)

Did you get your actual AP document yet? We got ours today and it was stamped and signed on the left side of the paper instead of the right side (where the signature and stamp box are), but we figured "what the heck"... I'm sure it's fine anyway.

We got two copies.
