I don't get it...I'm done with my biometrics last January 19 but none of my cases have been touched since then. I'm looking at most people's timelines here and they got touched after biometrics, isn't that always the case?

Also. those who already know that your EAD has been ordered, how did you know it? Did they send you a mail or an e-mail? I didn't subscribe to any e-mail notification, how will I know if mine has been ordered or not?

Thanks!

We've had no touches since biometrics. Keep in mind whoever is working on your case is not obligated to keep it updated. They told me they entered them at after that they are not required to enter anything until they are completed. Which is ridiculous. Why have a system in place if they don't have to do it. Good luck I hope we both hear something soon.

I was also concerned when my I-765 wasn't updated after biometrics. I scheduled an infopass appointment to discuss the RFE and the biometrics & the lady was able to tell me when my biometrics information was entered in the system.

What I don't get is: Why can't the customer service people see the same thing as the Infopass people????? Why make people go all the way to a USCIS location to get questions answered more accurately?

Hey everyone! The USCIS website shows that our I-485 was updated with the following message

" On January 20, 2010, we received your response to our request for evidence. This case is being processed at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use the processing time information on our website to estimate when this case will be done. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

Does this mean that our case will not be transferred to CSC?:unsure:

No, I got this first after replying to the RFE, and then the CSC transfer came shortly after. It could still be transferred to the CSC, but it might not.

Thanks a bunch KLester! I was hoping that it was a standard response and not indicative of how or where our case would actually be processed. It is fine either way...but I would prefer to have a simpler process.:star:

Guys, I am just bouncing off the walls here.

We got the immigration specialist for one of our congress people to look into it, and she MADE THE RFE GO AWAY!!

I think that we will keep our INFOPASS appointment, just to make sure that everything actually got followed through - I don't want things to get messed up.

Anyway, I knew that that silly date thing was bogus, and I'm glad we did some investigating before rolling over and paying ANOTHER $150 for this. The National Benefits person who looks into congressional inquiries also happened to mention our biometrics date (Feb 1!) and that AP was approved, and EAD to follow 2-3 weeks after bio's.

Oh well, we got the RFE document in the mail today and it is for the medical. Looks like he'll have to have his full exam once again because I'm not sure what other route to take. Please pray for us as I call civil surgeons on Monday and that I'll find one that is least likely to rip us off. Also, can someone tell me or direct me to what are the medical requirements as I want to make sure they do everything they're supposed to and not do something that doesn't need to be done. Thanks and have a great weekend!!!!
