I just checked and it said our case has been transferred to CA. Besides meaning we won't have an interview does that also mean we are RFE free? Or is it still possible we could get caught up in this medical mess , like everyone, else it seems?

I didn't realize that a transfer meant no interview. That would be wonderful! Not sure about the RFE.

Also, I just looked online again and our cases showed up (finally!). Bad news is that we got an RFE mailed out on January 8, 2010. Was hoping to avoid that. Oh well.

Hi to all, I'm an International Student from Jamaica been living in the Florida since 2005 attending school full-time, haven't been home not once since i've entered. I was not Permitted to work while attending, when i graduated in 2009 i was authorized a work permit and got a Social Security Card.

Got married in 2009 and began the Adjustment of Status process...never knew it would be so frustrating...

Anyway i am trying to get some information.

Does anyone know if like how i have a current EAD (expire next month) will the new one still takes 90 Days to be process?

And if it has to take 90 days to be process, is there anything i can do to keep working till the new EAD arrive or process since i already had an EAD?

Williag2, you might want to post that question in the general AOS section, so more people can see it & respond.

Also, I KNOW you must be homesick. My husband is, and he's been gone from Jamaica since September.

I am also waiting for my biometrics appointment letter....hope it will show up pretty soon...

I am sure yours is on it way to you guys.... I saw here many people getting their biometrics letter even after 20-30 days after NOA1...... hopefully a delay in getting this doesn't actually mean any RFE's....

Normally, you just get a biometrics appt when there is an opening. We got a biometrics letter even with a request for initial evidence issued.

We had our biometrics a month after our NOA1. We knew a couple weeks before though. I'm sure you'll hear something soon. We actually got our RFE after the bio appt letter came.

Well, we finally returned the I-693 RFE. We found a Civil Surgeon here in Atlanta that transcribed the vaccination records on the form for $40 US. The office staff was very pleasant as well. Here is the info if anyone needs it for Atlanta:

Civil Surgeon in Atlanta $40

Dr. David Williams

2799 Delk Rd

Marietta, GA 30067

770-955-2046

I was getting the run around about doing the complete medical again for $300...$250...and trascribing the vaccinations for $80 to $125. I was so relieved when I called Dr. Williams...because the receptionist knew exactly what I was talking about, and even quoted the USCIS regulations surrounding K1 medicals within a year of filing AOS...so I feel pretty confident that we will be fine this time. Best wishes to everyone.

Hey guys,

Haven't posted in this thread yet, but I'm a December filer. Since me and my wife are together for this filing (unlike K-1), I haven't cared much about checking for touches everyday and being insane about it, but so far our progress has been (dates in sig):

Submit I-485 and I-765, NOA1

Biometrics appointment letter, and appointment

RFE for medical (and some supporting tax forms I forgot), got new medical and sent back in

Just today, case transferred to CSC. Hopefully no interview for us!

Good luck to everyone!

Yeah, I feel the same way, really. VJ is now a "I'm bored" activity rather than an obsession.
