IF we are to be fair we would have to compare her worth to people in similar positions.

THat being said, I would hope anyone elected... and expected to lead a State to prosperity would also be financially stable themselves.

Earlier when I used the term "comparatively" suggesting her Net worth would be low, I referred to people in, like positions.

After looking at the numbers, I think I was accurate.

Without checking, I am still betting if you compared her to the -upper political class, this would be true.

BUt again, there is no glory in "not" being wealthy.

I simply said "this is her first taste of "real money".... which I believe was the same case for Obama after his Book deals brought home the bacon.

Again without checking, I bet if we were to compare -donations by percentage of income- (before either one had eyes on the white house)

..... some might be pretty disappointed in, "I am my brothers keeper" Barack.

anyone have time to run those numbers?

How much did Obama donate? How much did Biden?

STFU

Who knows?

It's public record. Obama donated roughly 250K in 2007 and 180K in 2008.

Where did a majority of that money go? The hate mongering Wright.

Its public record that Palin donated more than Biden did in his entire career. For many years Biden donated 395.00 per year.

Who cares what she does with her money. It's her's to do as she pleases just like anyone else.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Its fact. Look it up and do your homework.

It was a best seller because many conservative magazines, newspapers and organizations were using the book as a loss-leader. Listening to Mark Levin's radio show, I've heard it advertized by at least 5 companies for $5 or less.

Five Bucks? Pffft. I can get a footlong at Subways for that. It's got more substance than Palin's book, I'm sure.

I know you think you're being witty and humorous here, but there seems to be none. Care to explain?

"prove" that this is "why" it was a best seller.

and keep in mind that being used as a loss leader is actually a compliment.

Loss leader a compliment? I'm not sure you understand the concept. But I do supposed that it depends on your perspective. It does lead to inflated sales numbers though. Here is some proof, although I doubt you'll even read it

it is a compliment. let's say you wrote a book (i don't know you to be a writer), would they use your book as a loss leader? the fact that they are using her book to bring about other sales is a compliment. britney spears, micheal jackson, elvis.... all have been used as loss leaders. i understand the concept - lower the price on a "popular" item to bring people to the store while hoping they'll buy something else too.

to a degree, you are right, a smaller price does lead to more sales, but if people were not interested, it would not matter if it were .50, they still would not buy it.
