My Fiance just paid the $131 dollar visa Fee at Banco de Oro in Cebu and was given a reciept. However his DS157 was not Validated with a paid stamp. The Teller told him that it does not need to be stamped. Can anybody who recently had their interview help us out with this. Thanks in advance.

My fiancee (now wife!) just finished our process in July/August 09. She claims the Manila embassy will REQUIRE both receipt and STAMPED 157 form. The consul asked for them specifically.

If the procedure has changed, it has changed in the last few of months. I would have her go back to BDO and speak with someone and get that stamp. You do not want any foul-ups on interview day!

My wife did her BDO payment in Manila, the banks there seem to be more aware and used to Visa payments for the embassy. Others out there I recommend having fiancee's wait until they get to manila to pay the fee. BDO is located all over Manila and several not far from embassy.

Good luck and congrats
