New AOS subforum needed: "Civil Surgeons & I-693 Forms"

I think most people are looking for this information:

1. Price for vac. form (Figure only)

2. Price for full medical (figure only)

3. Did they require a full medical in order to transfer vaccinations to form (Yes/No)

4. Wait time for an appointment (Figure Only)

5. Wait time for completed package (Figure Only)

6. Does the CS stock (and inject) vaccines on the DOS list. (Yes/No)

All of the above is pretty factual limiting personal opinions.

Oh, and town/city, and state

For clarity's sake, I would change the order of the questions relating to price. Otherwise, people might break out the transcription cost from the full medical (as I assume CSs do itemised billing?) So it goes:

'do they offer transcription only? y/n

if yes, how much

if no, price of full medical

Honestly, I agree with T-Bone that a subforum would be helpful. I never understood why there weren't more. I feel that sometimes it is hard to find information on this site because each Forum covers so much and it takes a lot of time to find what you are looking for. I do not think that a pinned topic would be particularly helpful because those tend to get so full (sometimes with off-topic posters) that I find them annoying to have to look through. Plus, it is easy to forgot to check a pinned topic to see if it has been updated.

Wouldn't be hard to find stuff around here if people posted in the proper upper forums, rather than their Regional Forum.

Seriously though, how would sifting through an entire sub-forum help keep the info organized? The ONLY way I could imagine organization would be FIFTY sub-forums within the sub-forum itself (one for each state).

I had to bumble around and figure it out myself here stateside. Finding a civil surgeon was a tricky part , and I looked one up online and fortunately was paying to have my hubby on my medical insurance plan. But yes, to have the form merely filled out, it woul have been better to have something more obvious , go to...

Now that the I693 appears to be required regardless of the state of the vaccination record on the DS3025, AND Dr. Arnold retiring, every person who goes through the AOS process from a K visa needs to find a CS who will transcribe their vaccinations.

Can we do something to better manage the information between members about offices who charge reasonably for this service?

Some places like Phoenix aren't so bad to do it on your own, but try calling around to the 100+ places around Southern Cali and that's a real headache!
