i flew to be with my fiance at his upcoming interview.it is dec.14.the consulate requested i come speak with him prior to the interview.i was grilled by 7 men for 2 hrs about our relationship.although we have basically lived together for the last seven months.if your relationship is called into question be prepared with evidence as much evidence as possible.i am a us citizen and i scared me silly.i felt like i was on trial.now we must both go to his interveiw and go thru this all again.but i have so much proof that i dont think we will have a problem.600 pictures, airplane tickets, reciept for every sightseeing trip or hotel stay, letters from friends and family.be prepared people ,they even asked if my fiance offer me money to marry him.good luck to u all.i pray each night for all here and i ask you all say a prayer for us on dec.14. :star:

I'm so sorry for you! I would had been scared to death if that was me!! I have no doubts that it had to do with the fact that your guy is an Iraqi, (living in Sweden.) I don't know what to say.... It's just so... wow...

Hopefully this wont happen to me, cuz I know I will start to cry.... or pee my pants....! I'm a blonde, green eyed Swede though.. I guess nothing like this will happen to me!

Good luck Bridget and Alen!!!

Glad we cleared that up for others suing the Swedish consulate. Good luck
What?
"Suing" may have been a fingergraphical error for "using."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

It's not hard but it can still be time consuming. It's not our full time job (although for some it seems like it is) to go through people's life story here. When I first read her post, my first reaction was "NO WAY" but luckily she had something posted in November that talks about her situation. What if this was from months and months back?

It's true it can take a bit of time.

Or one can just summarily call the OP a liar.

The alternative might be to ask the OP why they think this has happened.

Up to each person to decide how they handle themselves.

you are all right,i mabe should have informed everyone all the facts right offn the bat.but theren are people on here whom are so rude .it discourages people from posting when others are rude.notsure i wanna post on this site anymore.i wish you all the best of luck.

No Bridget -- don't feel that way. We all get bashed here for being ambiguous but we learn from it. They are simply telling us here to minimize (if not stop) sending false or misleading information because a lot of people here take advises and warnings to heart. The whole journey is pretty intense. Please keep us posted. Thanks.

I would not worry much. Just like others mentioned before, it's a fluke when something like that happens in Sweden - very much like when it happens in Norway (your neighbours ;D ) However, I assume even low fraud consulates have their odd cases. I've had contact with someone in my own country who experienced extra hardship but that was due to an unusual case compared to the ones normally passing through the consulate. I'm pretty sure you'll be saved from crying, or getting your pants wet. Good luck!
