Hello fellows.

I entered USA last Nov 12 '09. I never had a hard time or any form of difficulty at my POE. The border officer was a filipino so it was very quick.

I received my GC and SSN card together 10 days after my POE. I didn't apply for SSN because it came together with my GC.

And now, Though I do drive back home, I'm reviewing the driver's manual so I can take driver's license for Louisiana real soon.

Good luck to everyone who are still in this visa journey.

Hello,

I passed the POE at Dallas-Fort Worth 16-Nov. The next day I went to the Social Security office where I can get my SSN processed. I still don't have my SSN card now, last week I check and they said it's still in process. And also I don't have my Green Card yet. At the POE, the officer said my GC will arrive in 6 months. Why is mine taking so long?

Before I received my GC, I went to the Social Security. I was told to wait for my GC before I can apply for my SSN.

Few days later, I received my GC together with my SSN card.

I would say, just wait a little bit to see if you'll receive you GC and SSN card soon. If in a matter of few weeks, you still don't receive it, then call the USCIS to follow up your GC so you can apply for your SSN once you receive your GC.

Just be patient.
