Hello everyone,

I just drop off my wife at the airport a couple hours ago and she is on her way to Detroit to catch the flight to Manila,philippines.

She will stay they for 2 weeks and then fly back to San francisco where I will meet her and met my step son for the first time.

MY father will come with me to the airport, they are very excited..

Congratulations and good luck with that! My fiancee also has a son (5 yrs old) but he'll be coming with her when she first arrives. May I ask how is your stepson?

my step son is 8 yrs old. it will be hard for him but it will be ok.. he will make friends easy

How very exciting for you ALL!!!!! Kids adapt better than adults...

Daughter arrived here 4 years ago when she was 7 and barely spoke any English. Mother of one of the girls on her soccer team last week ask me if daughter had every been to the Philippines. The boy will be fine. Try getting him involved in boy scouts and/or sports teams to meet other kids.

hahahah thats great!!!

We have only been here 2 years, Hannah has already picked up the accent, she is 8. When my daughter from England talks with her on the phone, she says to me afterwards "Mum, I could not understand everything she was saying she talks like a yank hahahah" :D
