Photos for the consulate in Montreal - a refreshing new poll

Ok, trying this poll again!

So, historically most IR1/CR1 people that interview in Montreal have taken 2 U.S. sized passport photos with them to the interview. It doesn't really ask for these anywhere (that I know of) although the interview letter used to say "bring the correct number of photos".

For you IR1/CR1 persons who have interviewed at Montreal, did you take pictures with you? Did they ask for them?

I answered "yes" to both. I brought two photos with me to the interview. They were exactly the same as the ones I had submitted to NVC. I was asked for them by the evil woman. Actually, she told me to give them to her, and then yelled at me for not putting them in the baggie she had given me - except she hadn't given me the baggie. It was still on her side of the window. Heh. Then, during my interview with the nice man, he returned the two photos I had submitted to NVC (which, as I mentioned, were identical to the ones I gave to the mean lady). I know they were the NVC ones because they were in a Ziploc bag with my writing on it. So I suppose I didn't NEED to bring an extra set, but I'm glad that I brought them.

I dunno Trailmix...33% of people being asked for their photos so far means to ME that it's probably a good idea to bring them!

Unfortunately, the ones husband brought to the interview, are the ones they used on the Green Card and the Visa. and lolol he looks scared in that pic. I guess he closed his eyes the first time they took a pic, so he was trying to hold them open. I wished they used some of the other ones we sent in, but oh well lol

The ones I had taken a few weeks ago look quite a bit like a mug shot. It's a fairly intimidating pic!

Oh, whoops...I voted and THEN saw this wasn't for DCF-ers...my bad :-)

(if anyone's interested though, as a DCF-er, I was asked to bring two more passport photos and was asked for

them:-))

I had the new passport pics and the consulate asked which ones I wanted...the previously sent in ones or the ones I brought to the interview.

I missed this poll the first time around.

We brought 2 photos and I was allowed to pick the ones I wanted to be used on my green card...either the ones I submitted with the DS-230 or the ones I had brought.

BTW the instructions with my interview latter stated " Each applicant, regardless of age, must present two photographs to the consular officer at the interview."
