Got a quick question.... papers received state $131 paid in cash at the consulate or at any BMCI bank. Can this be paid in Dh eqivalant to $131.00? Fiance wasnt able to receive money in american dollar, but was just given the option of dirham only and wanted to make sure he can pay in dirhams.

My understanding is that the fees are always paid in dollars.

His interview is not until monday, however, his interview is at 8:00am... the banks are all closed where he is now. No not able to pay in dollars. How would one from here pay the BMCI bank?

The bank will give him a receipt to bring to the consulate. They will charge him whatever the going rate is in dirhams for the $131.

Sorry, I'm not aware of any other way to do it. I believe he has to go in person to pay at BMCI. If he doesn't have the receipt with him on monday AM, they will probably just send him from the consulate to the bank and have him drop the receipt back off.

ETA: I was wrong. My husband just told me they will take dirhams at the consulate.
