The RD is a tough place to get an approval...I should know because I have a Dominican Cedula and lived there for most of 2007 as I have a home there...You were very lucky..Best of Luck to you in the future I wish you and your fiancee the best..

Yes...from what I read on here and another site, Dominican citizens have a tough time getting visas (especially K1 visas). My fiancée and I prepared ourselves and we had faith. Nothing comes easy...but we were always positive and our relationship is real so we didn't worry too much.

1. I also had seen that the AVERAGE processing time in the VSC was 5 months... But when I called them the day that I completed my 5th month, they told me that they go by this list... OFFICIAL PROCESSING TIME

2. I never received a Request for EVIDENCE... I actually NEVER have received any communication from the VSC, and the USCIS webpage shows that my file hasn't been touched since December 31, 2009... I was lucky enough to talk to a guy one time on the USCIS 1-800 number that actually sent a request for SERVICE to the VSC asking for THEIR action because my petition had not been touched for so long. But now, as I stated in my previous post, whenever I call the USCIS and inquire about my petition (Receipt Number), they tell me that I have to wait 6 months before they'll do anything (see No. 1 above). When I call and inquire about the Service Request that was sent to the VSC, they tell me that I have to wait 3 months before they'll do anything (see details in the timetable on my signature area).

3. I contacted one of my senators about a month ago, and he told me that I would have to wait until the official processing time expired, and then their response may take 1-2 months... I just sent an e-mail to my other senator yesterday. If I don't hear anything from her soon, I will follow up. So basically, no help from the senators so far.

Any ideas? Any would definitely be appreciated.

But you have done all you can do...If you have a senator involved then that is about as far as you can go right now.I know this does not help you but You did everything as I would have done it...Every now and then somebody gets lost in the system.. I guess it was you this time.. I can only say I wish you the best in resolving this when the 6 months are up...

Found out last week Laddawan's interview is on July 16th @ 7am....dam redshirts caused us to take so long! Oh well wish us luck guys, take care!!!!!!

Another happy approval from Kiev for a December filer. The medical was an unorganized mess. We will fondly look back on our time spent in the "Hall of Horror" to get the medical done. But done we did. And the consulate was fantastic. Very professional. After a 6 year journey, we will finally be together forever!

we got approval on june 3 the noa2 say that they foward the petition to the listed consulate we called nvc they say that they didnt recieve our case and to read to them the approval notice they they say the the approval might have already got to consulate listed. should my fiance call in the USEM? or me? i need anyone advice..

Yeah I'm still around just been really busy here getting stuff ready for Laddawan's arrival. On top of everything else a week ago sombody did a hit and run on my Subaru wrx the other night!!! Totalled it while I was sleeping and while it was sitting in my driveway. So the police are still investigating it and etc. I really need this added stress in my life right now as well as hoping Laddawan's interview will go well. Could be worse I guess, lol. Got my visa today! Three weeks to the day from the interview. Whew!

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to give a report on our situation. We had our interview June 1st in Vancouver so we avoided the extra cost increase and more importantly we were approved! Iris picked up her Visa 48 hours later and we were home in NC on the 4th of June.

Now shes home finally, and we can relax again! Saving up for AOS fees and getting ready for the wedding now!

what is it manila case look like?

cos above my fiancee name is has a number in above.

Hi all - just wanted to happily report that we were approved on May 20th, received the visa on May 26th, entered the US on May 30th, and were married last week on June 8th in Hawaii surrounded by my family and friends. Oh how sweet it is to be together - the blood, sweat, and tears were so worth it!! Wishing you all the best! will be back in a few weeks for AOS, but taking a break for now from immigrationtalk for a while...it's nice to just be husband and wife for a while, ya know?
