Hi,

I agree with Jared and May to call. Do everything that you can. Bug them, complain until they respond with your NOA 2. They are suppose to send you a letter with their decision at the end of the 60 days.

Hey Jenine, long time no see! I hope you've been keeping yourself busy! So what's the time table for you? After you interview on 7/15 are you going to the US in a week or two after? Milagros is finally due here on 7/7 and I just can't wait.. I've been cleaning up the place which she's affectionately dubbed "nesting"..

Hiya,

Yer work has been keeping me busy, which I can't complain to much about at moment as it keeps me focused on something else and the money is always a help lol. After the interview I am gonna at least finish of working the summer and leave there early september before a going away holiday with the girls after that it will be the move for an october 30th wedding. This feels like the right pace and also allows me and alex to get other stuff sorted out. I get to go over for three weeks in this month so that should keep me going for another couple of months. Not long now for you then :)

Hi,

Everyone,

I have bad news for anyone that has interview after the 4th of June.

The embassy called my fiancee today and told her that she has to go back and pay the difference between the new price and the old price for the visas. I have to pay for 2 people. They said because her interview date is after the 4th of June. She has to go back and pay the difference. If her interview date was before the 4th of June then no. I am screwed. I have to find $500.00 dollars from somewhere.

they have just stabbed me in my back

I feel your pain!

Today, Carol attempted to pain $131 for the visa and the bank would not accept the payment. They said that she had to pay $350, so we will have to pay when I arrive. Fortunately for me, it only cost an additional $219 and not $438, like you. For everyone else, be prepared to pay $350 if your interview is after June 4th.

thanks how many days? 10 days?and what number?

Congratulations tinegary! I happy for you all.

Hi , Mark and Carol I was blown away with the change in price after we already paid. I guess it just bad luck. I won't think about their stupid little fee increase if we are approved, it will be a distant memory at that point.

I am leaving out on Tuesday to Bogota. Your interview is approaching and also the finishing touches of Panamajack's. Good luck to you I have wondered where you have been lately.

hello? what happen also to you? did u call uscis already??

Hi... Sorry I haven´t checked in, but it is very depressing to see everyone from December getting to the finish line and we are still stuck in limbo since December 28.

We are STILL waiting...

We have been waiting since December 28 (NOA 1 date)... Then we were able to do a Service Request on May 12... I have called... Many times... They tell me:

  1. Regarding the Processing time... They say that the VSC processing time is 6 months... So I have to wait.
  2. Regarding the service request... They say I have to wait at least 45 days from the date of the service request (May 12) before I can inquire about it... So I have to wait.

Basically, if nothing happens, I have to wait until the end of June before they will do anything else for me.

We are sad

Dec. 28, 2009... NOA 1

Dec. 31, 2009... Touched

May 12, 2010... Nice guy at the USCIS mercifully sent a Service Request to the VSC to inquire about our petition

May 27, 2010... Received an e-mail stating that the VSC received the Service Request. Unfortunately, the e-mail also states that the processing time for service requests is 3 MONTHS!!

June 28, 2010... Heard from my senator that the USCIS is going to send me a RFE on July 1 asking for a certified copy of my birth certificate. Why do they have to wait until July 1 to ask for this??

July 13, 2010... Received an e-mail from the VSC explaining the delay in processing our petition. Apparently, the USCIS had put on hold all petitions from US citizens born with Puerto Rican birth certificates (like me). On July 1, USCIS headquarters finally gave clearance for these petitions to be processed.

July 26, 2010... Touch

July 27, 2010... Received text message and e-mail stating that our petition was approved on July 26!! We finally received our NOA 2!!

July 31, 2010... NVC received our approved petition

August 2, 2010... Received paper copy of our NOA2

August 4, 2010... Received letter from NVC confirming receipt of our approved petition

August 13, 2010... US embassy in Brazil received the approved petition

August 23, 2010... Missuzu received Packet 3/4

October 19, 2010... Interview... VISA APPROVED!!!

November 4, 2010... Missuzu received her passport with visa

December 27, 2010... POE... Houston, Texas

December 28, 2010... We got married!

I congratulate you for doing everything in your power to get this resolved. I read the other day someone contacted their local senator, and they got them to put their case on an adjudicator's desk. Try everything you can.

Although I am further alone in the process , my fiancee will not be here if we are in approved during the interview in June. It looks like it will be in August. You could possibly be approved and have your fiancee here almost the same time as me or maybe a month later.

Good luck to you and your wait is almost over!

Sh*t you guys are still waiting???

They seriously need to fix this situation, people in Jan/Feb/March are being approved and your petition is still there.. :wow:

A senator is probably the only person that can really help you at this point....

Man I'm really sorry, that's just an awful situation.. They really need to institute a FIFO setup for all immigration petitions. This lottery system is just so unfair.

Good luck!
