We had an absolute blast.. Got to hang out with her fam, wonderful beaches of Bohol, saw the tarsiers, and just loved every minute together..

For statistical purposes, I want to report that Cary's visa was approved. :dance::dance::dance:

I don't have any details, I just got a text, she thinks that 75 cents an hour is outrageous to pay for computer time. :lol:

She says she will have the visa in 10 days.

Of course if there is any additional information that may be helpful I will pass it on to everyone.

Yup just 1 week to Phils, but it was incredible as always.. It had been 3 months so we really needed that trip. I could never go a full year, that's way too long :crying:

So I feel for you brother.. Milagro's pic should still be there with the visa.. Last I checked it is.. It cracks me up.. :rofl:

Congrats to everyone with recent good news!!! I dont post much but love to read and get info here! This is a great place to hang out and have coffee!

Iris and I have our interview date for June 1st at the Vancouver consulate and we are getting so excited. She is at her medical appointment right now. Vancouver issues visas next day after interview so Im really praying 3 weeks from today she will have her visa and be on her way back home with me a few days after that.

Im really glad this nightmare seems to be almost over!!!

Congrats again to everyone and good luck Drew with your interview!

Congratulations to all who received their visas. On our part, after all the hassle and bustle having to transfer our case from Hong Kong to Manila.. finally I will be having my medical on May 17-18 and interview on June 3. Getting a bit nervous now. Hoping everything will go well.

Hey guys... There's still some of us that have not received our NOA 2... It has been a long, hard wait... And we're STILL waiting... But something happened today that gives me a glimmer of hope...

I called the USCIS to find out why I couldn't log in to my account... I wasn't planning to inquire about my status because I have already called a couple of times for that reason and have just gotten the "canned" response about having to wait at least 5 months before they can do anything... (5 months for us will be on May 28) Anyway, after the guy explained that they are having problems with their webpage, he asked me if there was anything else he could do for me... I figured, what the heck, so I asked him if there was any way that he could check the status of my petition.

He actually looked in the system and noticed that "officially," the Vermont Service Center is currently working on January 9 petitions... So my petition is actually 9 days beyond the "official" processing time. Therefore, he went ahead and sent a Service Request to the VSC to inquire about my petition.

We are very happy about something/anything finally happening... (Although I know this is not much, we haven't even had a "touch" since December 31, 2009)...

Does anyone know about how long it takes for the VSC to act on a Service Request? Is it possible that our NOA 2 is finally coming?

May 12, 2010... Nice guy at the USCIS mercifully sent a Service Request to the VSC to inquire about our petition

May 27, 2010... Received an e-mail stating that the VSC received the Service Request. Unfortunately, the e-mail also states that the processing time for service requests is 3 MONTHS!!

June 28, 2010... Heard from my senator that the USCIS is going to send me a RFE on July 1 asking for a certified copy of my birth certificate. Why do they have to wait until July 1 to ask for this??

July 13, 2010... Received an e-mail from the VSC explaining the delay in processing our petition. Apparently, the USCIS had put on hold all petitions from US citizens born with Puerto Rican birth certificates (like me). On July 1, USCIS headquarters finally gave clearance for these petitions to be processed.

July 26, 2010... Touch

July 27, 2010... Received text message and e-mail stating that our petition was approved on July 26!! We finally received our NOA 2!!

July 31, 2010... NVC received our approved petition

August 2, 2010... Received paper copy of our NOA2

August 4, 2010... Received letter from NVC confirming receipt of our approved petition

August 13, 2010... US embassy in Brazil received the approved petition

August 23, 2010... Missuzu received Packet 3/4

October 19, 2010... Interview... VISA APPROVED!!!

November 4, 2010... Missuzu received her passport with visa

December 27, 2010... POE... Houston, Texas

December 28, 2010... We got married!
