Yet another happy post!!! :) Congratulations! Very happy for you!!!

Keep em going VSC, January and February guys need you to!

Hi Everyone,

I have never posted in this thread before but i read it everyday. Congratulations to all of you who have received your NOA2's. You have all stayed so positive and patient!

My fiance and I are january filers and im just wondering if any of you have any idea about when january might be seeing some approvals?

I'm going to start calling today. My only issue is that my stupid cell phone freezes every time I get a busy signal :( And NVC is always busy.

Going to try calling after 9-10 tonight.

Kiev is the same as Mexico. No packets. Once they recieve the documents we just phone a call center and schedule an interview.

January is already getting some spill-over action from December. Not a lot, but sloooooooowly it's moving.

In about a week or so, if things keep moving this way I'd be probably more comfortable estimating. As it stands right now, the statistics on this process suggest 98-126 days from NOA-1 to NOA-2.

Lots of us in December were around 100 days, some were around 80-ish. But the thing is, everything depends on what trend VSC keeps up. Right now it seems they are working at a very decent speed, but you never know.

When all of us filed, they were turning these petitions around in 2 months or less, and we ended up waiting 3 months +.

So my only real advice is.... prepare to wait 5 months, and then be pleasantly surprised when you get it early.

Applications are processed randomly. There's no system to the country of the beneficiary. At least that's my best guess.

Hi, December 2009 filers. I was a December 2008 filer and we got the green card Friday.

Just wanted to encourage you all to not get too discouraged when you see other people "flying" past you, timeline-wise. Since there are so many steps from I-129F filing to AOS approval, you never know where someone might have a delay. Nor do you know the special circumstances others face.

I knew someone whose case went much faster, but this woman was having medical issues. I couldn't be anything BUT happy for her that her guy got to America so fast, as she had enough struggles. I say that to say: Be happy for each other & know that your time will come!

When you receive your NOA2, the NVC assigns a new case number to your petition. The first 3 letters of your new case number will be the abreviation of the city where the embassy resides. For Rio De Janereiro it might be RDJ, I don't know. After they assign the new number, then they send it to the embassy. This whole process can take 1-4 weeks. Access the Embassy Info for Brazil at the top of this page for more info.

Good luck.

Hi,

Everyone , I was hit with a request for more evidence even though I did everything correctly. I tried to call to find out what it was while I was in Colombia. They told me it is inside the letter they mailed on the 19th of March. I thought it was an approval notice but it was the opposite. I made a complete copy of the entire package before sending it off so that's not an issue. I am not sure if they lost something or that some jerk just want to make someone's life harder. We were so disappointed when at the same time we saw the status of our case. Pray for us.

Congratulations to everyone else, thanks Мартышк+Мартышка's for the p.m

You will have to wait and see what it is when you get the letter.. Reply back ASAP.. It is probably something small or

mabye you did miss something.. a date a signature.. Even though you checked and re-checked this could be all it is.

If so be happy that that is all it was...Keep the Captain and the rest of us posted as to what it was.. OK?

We don't pray much here ... we just drink alot on the ship...But I guess a little prayer for our shipmate can be done if thats what you want instead of RHUM.......................Arrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Hi,

I can imagine how frustrating it must be. I see tht Gary and Tine have received an RFE too. There is a separate RFE thread on VJ which is informative. Also USCIS is looking for primary evidence of you having met between the last 2 years rather than proof of relationship at this stage. If you have sent enough primary evidence, maybe its a small missing signature or date. You'll know when you receive the mail.

If you respond quickly its usually just a small delay. Keep up the spirit. We're with you.

Sowmya

I hope VSC kicks out NOA2s for the rest of us folks too this week. I'm beginning to look forward to Monday mornings for the first time in my life

i have a friend who applied for k1 visa last year and she got RFE and the problem was just one box that she forgot to cross that was all. so she did again and in 3 weeks got her noa2. i believe most of the cases are simple things.
