Does a touch the day after our approval mean that is when the petition is mailed to the NVC? We received a touch today, 3-19-2010 and our NOA2 was yesterday...just curious...

After I read this post I logged into the USCIS website and I also had a touch today. I assume that it is them sending the packet to the department who forewards it to NVC..

Mark,

Aren't you going to the interview in Bogota ? Ok now you can tell me how you are getting this NVC done so fast...And how do you know this ? from the USCIS website? BTW ....... I guess you saw they hit me up with my NOA-2 last night at 11PM...

I'll be getting drunk with the parrot after work tonight....Arrrrrrrrrrrr

WE need Matt and Tinegary now and the crew is completed......... VSC is rockin in high gear now...Just as Captain Alex predicted.......

Drew,

Yes, I am going to the interview but the DS-230 & DS-2100 have to be sent to the embassy to schedule an interview. I was shocked that NVC had received our petition and sent to the embassy in 3 days. :wow: Lucky I guess. Wait til Monday and call the NVC @ 603-334-0700 press 1 then 5 to speak to a live person. For I-129F's you have to talk to a person. They ask for your case #, beneficiary's name, birthdate, email, petitioner's name, birthdate, & email. Ask for your new case # and when they sent it to the embassy...very simple.

I'll meet you on deck later tonight for the BIG celebration!!

Your doing great VSC, keep up the good work cause we have more crew members waiting.

Wow! This is making me so happy hearing of all these touches and approvals *finally* coming through for us December filers! I hope to get some good news in the next couple of weeks!!!!!!

Question for all you knowledgeable folks... and forgive my ignorance...but no matter how much i search, i keep getting different answers on this. WHAT can I do paperwork wise to get ready for post NOA2 activity? I know about the affidavit of support, ok no problem, simple paperwork to fill out. But what about the medical? And something about a police report?? What is that all about?? I thought they were already doing background checks before they approve anything? Anyhow regardless of all that what can i get ready before my NOA2 to overnight to wherever when the time comes. Like everyone else, this visa stuff has turned my and my fiances lifes into a stress nightmare. She could be losing her place to live and might have to stay with friends until she comes back stateside so anything I can do to speed up an interview date I want to get done.

Also what is p3 and p4? Our consulate is in Vancouver but we might have to do a change of address to Calgary if she loses her place to live.

Thanks in advance and CONGRATS to all those new NOA 2ers!!

This link http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Canada&cty=Vancouver should answer your questions about getting ready for the next process after you receive your NOA2. If you are going to the embassy in Montreal, then click on the Embassy Info tab at the top of this page and search for Canada.

The background check is on you not your fiancee and the medical and police report is for your fiancee. Your fiancee will need blood work done to see if she has any diseases. Also, she will have to visit an embassy appointed doctor for a physical and vaccinations. She needs to request a police report to make sure that she has not committed a felony or is wanted for a crime. The P3 and P4 is Packet3 & Packet4. Every country is different, that's why you need to access the embassy website in Canada. Normally, P3 contains documents needed to schedule an interview date and P4 contains documents to be taken to the interview. Hope this helps.

Good luck.

Mark
