As I see it everybody's estimate date dissappeared over the weekend......... and now VSC processing times are rising.. It went from 58 Days from NOA-1 to 65 days to NOA-2 in just 72 hours and sill climbing..... I guess we are getting screwed.. Mabye because of the holidays or because in August they hired some temps to do August , Sept, and Oct 09 filers.................. Because the trail of progress stops after October 2009 filers... This Blows.!!!

Matt,

The firm that is handling your paperwork should mail your NOA1 hardcopy to you. It takes about one week to receive the hardcopy after your paperwork is received. If you haven't already, go to the USCIS website and sign up for automatic notification by email. The USCIS will notify you via email if they require additional information from you. Snail mail can take up to two weeks for you to receive. You will need the case number on the NOA1 to sign up.

Good Luck and wishing everyone a speedy response.

Hello fellow December filers,

Just wondering if any of you have had touches to your case? I know sometimes this means nothing but just from following people who have filed months ago and no touches and being they touched mine 1-5-10, it gives me hope that they are not resorting back to the 6-9 month timeframe.

Thanks,

Jessica

Jessica, Look at November 2009 VSC filers posters...........Not one of them has had anything..Not even a touch... Your touch was the USCIS recording the fact that they sent you the NOA-1.. I am not trying to be negative here because I am also in the same situation as you are.. VSC has stopped processing the I-129F's for now.. I have been dealing with USCIS since 2001.. And back then they were caled INS.. Before VJ was formed I was dealing with the system they have... Relax..And get ready for a long wait..I am not happy with the way things are now compared to my 12 week wait for my 1st. I-129F application back in 2002....I hope I am wrong but the facts are they feel they are caught up with the I-129F's and are processing other applications ..

Examples are 130's N-400's and so on.........................

As of today there are 22,889 Visas at the VSC..13,591 are pending meaning they did more than just send out a NOA-1 and 9,298 are just sitting in a box on a shelf somewhere.. This surely looks like they are back to the long wait times.. 6-9 months would be the timeframe I am expecting. I too wish I filed earlier...Now the K-1 times between NOA-1 and NOA-2 keep climbing and Jan.2010 is almost half over and only a few approvals that you can count on one hand...This sucks as I was not planning on waiting all year...

Hi PanamaJack,

Thanks for the previous response, appears you have alot of knowledge on this process. How can you see the number of Visas at the VSC?

Thanks,

Jessica

It was never 9 months to begin with. 6 months is overshooting it as well. Even with the slowdown, they are about halfway through October.

Stop being a downer too :)

Yeah, if they were really planning on taking that long, surely they'd have to change the processing times on their website, which still say 5 months...

Maybe 6-9 is a reasonable estimate from date of mailing the petition to when the actual visa is in your hand (depending on your consulate and whatever AP might be involved, of course).

I-129F

6 Nov 2009: NOA1

2 March 2010: NOA2 (116 days)

14 April 2010: Interview (159 days) Approved!!

30 April 2010: Married!

AoS

18 May 2010: NOA1 for AoS, EAD and AP

8 June 2010: Case transferred to CSC

10 June 2010: Biometrics completed

31 July 2010: EAD and AP received!

9 Sept. 2010: RFE email for AoS

(RFE for medical. We replied with letter stating that it's not required since done overseas within one year)

18 January 2010: Interview - passed! Card production ordered!

To be quite honest, I think that all is happening with Vermont right now, is that they are, by some sort of weird logic, slowing down to CSC timelines of about 90-100 days processing.

People, it's not THAT BAD, really.

We have to do it once and that's it. Yes, it's hard as hell being apart, but this is one and only time when we HAVE to.

So let's stop with downer posts here, we all need to be helping each other and cheer up :)
