I wanted to visit my fiancee in Colombia last month, but couldn't because she couldn't find anyone to work for her. It is probably best that I didn't because I plan to go with her to the interview. If you plan to go to the interview, which I highly recommend, you might what to wait...it is going to get pretty expensive after your NOA2. I am hoping to schedule her interview sometime in May.

Hi , the part of wishful thinking is getting the approval this week . But I am going this Friday. I have to because I can only visit her when I am on vacation. I believe I should be able to go to the interview also ,

I am thinking we will start getting approved late this month or early next month. So her interview probably want be into June. I am on vacation again during that time.

Hi,

I noticed I recieved a touch today. But I am not sure if it was because I had to change my password in the site or that I changed my address .

I almost couldn't breath when I saw my case was updated 3/9/2010. So I checked the status and it still says under initial review.

I can't even imagine how much I will celebrate when it is approved.

To be a skeptic and a downer of our ship, I'm a have to go with VSC finishing November around 20th of March and then maybe getting onto US.

I expect at least some December approvals in last week of March

Carol lives in Cali. I'm not familiar with Manizales...looks like it is close to Medellin. Do you fly into Medellin?

Thanks everyone for your advice. One question...what other fees are there besides the $1,010 for the AOS? I also know about the Visa fees at the embassy, medical exam, etc. I just wanted to know what other fees there were other than the AOS, thanks!

Jim,

Your fiancee will have to go for biometrics, but I don't know how much it costs. Also, I think she might have to go to a local physician to make sure she has all of her vaccinations. You might want to post this question in an AOS thread. They have more knowledge about this process. Hopefully soon, we will know the entire process from start to finish.

I just got home from work and hope you are holding up OK.. Last night after I read you message when I went to sleep I held my dog close to me as I fell asleep . I ever put her under the blanket with me... Man that message really hit me.. Not as much as you of course but I was upset for you... Pets can really impact our lives.. and then some !!!!!!!!! Stay strong... You are relieved of duties until you feel you can re- join active duty on board the Rumrunner..........The captain will assign a new crew member to take over for you till you are ready...OK? ........You can borrow me wench if ya need her.........

I live ocean block with a rooftop patio/deck with a bar stocked with Brandy and of Course RUM.. You can hear the waves crashing thats how close I am to the Ocean..When the weather get warmer we shold Hopefully have our NOA-2's and can really celebrate something positive after this Long Long Winter we had this season...........

Eh, VSC is working at a slower pace at the moment.

My projection (this is somewhat scientific) is for the week of 22nd is when they are going to start doing something in December.

Igor's list is nice and all, but there's people who don't keep up the timeline, and they've been approved.

I'm going to wait until VSC posts their January numbers on their website before I make any other claims as to when we should start drinking less (or more).

In any case, it's been quiet here for a bit. I noticed... I assume people are starting to feel the strain of waiting, that comes with a 3 month mark (or 2 month, or 1 month, it's different for everyone).

Just try to stay positive. Start getting your financial paperwork. Find out about police reports (most of them are valid 6-12 months, depending on a consulate)

And when you get your NOA2, I expect you come shouting to this forum You KNOW we will be happy for you!!!
