Jenien,

I got the same response from my friends...You have to be insane to take on a long distance relationship..But a year from now we will all be together with someone unique and special to us..Screw what anybody else thinks........It is what WE think that counts..It is our lives and we should be able to do what we want with it.. I know I am happy as Hell just as you are. Nobody goes through this process if they did not feel that the SO was the missing link to our lives.

BTW............. I just poured a Capt. Morgan and coke.. So the phrase Insane sailors was in line with this post I made..

I agree with you completely! I could care less what anyone else thinks about my relationship with someone on the other side of the world. Many people asked me this question, "Jim, why did you want a Russian woman?" I told them, "I did not look for a woman in Russia, I was just searching for someone who was my better half, and she happens to live in Russia"

So many people have no clue because they can see only what is right in front of them inside the box, I cannot live like that...I have never been happier in my life, but I will be even happier when Irina is here next to me in some months...

Mark,

What's your opinion about using the name RUMRUNNER for our ship ??

And as far as the figurehead goes I think Bill Murry stays because we have a COOL video posted thanks to Jared and very comical in relation to our cause..

Capt. Sparrow,

I agree with Rumrunner...arrrrr, it goes well with our pirate theme.

Hey, save me a shot of Capt. Morgan's, por favor.

Jim

I was nervous to tell my family and friends because I didn't know how they would react. Fortunately, they were very happy for me and support my decision. It would not have changed my decision if they did not agree with me. My future is with Carol and if people have issues with that, then "the hell with them!" People should be more concerned with your happiness than your decision to venture outside of the box. Sometimes, the grass IS greener on the other side.

Happy Saturday everyone. I trust everyone has a headache? I have my sons this weekend, and of course they are glued to the TV. This waiting is driving me crazy! When we first filed, I was encouraged because the historical data showed that the VSC was the quickest, now they are moving at a snail's pace. I am just going out of my mind! I would plan another trip to go to Irina, but we decided to wait because we filed 2 months ago and she could very well be here by the time I had enough vacation time to return to Siberia again. It is so expensive to go there...$500+ just to get my Visa (official invitation and cost of actual Visa), then there was the actual ticket...Omsk is not a tourist area at all  ! Yes, I am taking you up on your offer to rant...I have to talk to someone or I will explode. I work so much that I never go out and socialize as I used to. I spend more time with co-workers than anyone...it's sad isn't it? Although, working all the time is better than returning to an empty apartment every evening. I cannot wait until Irina arrives, then I will not work so much and I will look forward to coming home. I want to fast-forward to the day I pick her up in the airport...I want to skip the bullshit before then. The highlights of my days are when I speak with her...read emails from her...SMS messages from her. Thank god I found a really cheap calling card, because we speak 2+ hours a day. Alright, I will stop ranting before you throw me overboard. Talk with all of you soon...

How true!!! When my friends Colombian wife around in Orlando, she was in awe. She was saying, 'everything is so big and beautiful'. It's not hard to be in awe when you don't have much. I can't wait for Carol to arrive...she will be like a kid in a candy factory or a pirate finding a treasure map. :D

I know everyone has their own tastes and they love their SO, but I agree with PJ about Colombianas...Latin women strive to please their men.

I cope with the waiting in several different ways. I exercise to relieve stress and tension. I am getting the house ready (i.e. cleaning out closets to make more room, garage sale, etc.) which takes my mind off of the waiting. I visit this forum to see how me mateys are doin. We are half way into the NOA2 journey, so it won't be long now.

Has anyone checked Igor's List lately? VSC approved 15 Nov. filers on 2/25 and 6 on 2/26. Looks like VSC is up and running again.

I think I will try to not look at this because it will just depress me. I would go crazy if I checked this every day. Besides, this data is not so reliable anyway because not everyone records their timeline, etc. I will just wake every day and continue to hope that we will receive our approval from VSC...

Stop looking at Igor's list :)

VJ represents 1-2% of total filers. Statistically - we are not a significant sample size to draw conclusions.

Oh and I don't feel so great after yesterday hehe.

I tried cleaning up, but I just ended up with bunch of ####### laying around the house for 2 months now  because I got too busy with work and drinking stress relief :D

I'm glad Nov people are getting approved, but I am, as always, taking it with a grain of salt
