Congrats to everyone who have received visas and NOA2's.

Carol arrived on 7/17 and we spent the weekend in Miami Beach. I took 2 weeks vacation so we could go to the theme parks, beach, visit friends, and allow her to adjust. So far she really likes it here, but misses her family and friends...I expected that. The wedding is planned for Sept. 25.

Our journey on the SS Rumrunner has been a long one, but with everyone's support and positive attitude it has been enjoyable.

We got our paper copy of the NOA2 in the mail on Monday (August 2)!!

I know... I know... No big deal... But it is for ME!!! We have been waiting 7 months for this!

Anytime you receive a document from USCIS it is a big deal.

Be proactive and prepare for the next step...don't wait on the embassy. Good luck with the rest of your journey.

Have you called NVC yet?

I called a couple of times (didn't talk to a real person), and entered my USCIS Receipt Number... The automated system told me that they had no record of that receipt number, so I figured they still had not received the petition from the USCIS...

Then today, in my mail, I received a letter from the NVC telling me that they received my approved petition on July 31, and that they would send it on to the embassy in Brazil within one week! Awesome!

How can I find out when the NVC sends the approved petition to the embassy? And when the embassy receives it?

You can track the progress via DHL, but I don't know the process. There are previous posts in this thread that explains the process. Also, you can wait a week and contact either the DOS or the embassy itself. Research Embassy Info at the top of this page...there is very helpful info on this page.

Hi everyone, it;s been awhile

I finally have some good news, my fiancee received permission to take her son out of the country! We had a wedding date set, but now it may be even sooner! :dance:

To all December filers. A quick update on our status. Abby made it to USA on Aug 3rd and our wedding is just a few days away. Aug 21 we will be getting married and taking a couple of days off to celebrate our honeymoon! Thanks for all the assistance in this sometimes very happy, frustrating, anxious, long and in the end rewarding journey. We havn't posted alot, but both of us have monitored this site almost daily. And for those that are still in the process,,, keep up the faith and keep moving toward your goal, it will come.

Looking forward to continueing the journey in the AOS forum.
