Hi, Panamajack

I feel for you and I am pulling for you, that's what I like about our group and this site, I feel like we are here for each other in the good times and the bad times. I know it has helped me through this process. I have an additional hill to climb after the interview, we are waiting for a custody document for my fiancee's son. The lawyer said he could do it in 6 months. August makes 6 months. I am hoping and praying it could be ready before August because I am on vacation June and July. It would be the perfect time for them arrive here.

I echo the sentiments of everyone who has posted to you. I hope this problem is a momentary glich and by now you are back on track.

Well my update is Cary passed the interview on May 6th, received her visa on May 13th. I will be leaving tomorrow out of Philly to go get her. I will be returning May 25th, her POE will be San Francisco.

As always congratulations to all who have completed the process and I hope those that are still in the process have a quick successful conclusion to their remaing steps.

Cary and Jim

Thank you everyone for you thoughts and best wishes.. But this is not normal for a USA citizen to have to go through this process since I never lived in Colombia there is no record of me at DAS... What will the report say ? Nothing..But they want to stress me out more that I am already.

Where is the Parrot ?? Our Captain is on vacation and I want to keep the ship...I need a new Captain if Alex has bailed out.

First I need to confirm Capt. Alex is no longer with us then I need to appoint a new Captain for the Rumrunner.. I feel like I am starting all over again now with ths DAS chit they are throwing my way....Screw the Embassy clowns...They cannot keep me down..

Good to see you came up for air.. I am shocked they did this chit to me..It caught me totally by surprise.

Just another way to screw me out of money and time.. We must pay $20.00 to get a pin number for Maria to take the documents back to the Embassy.

Unbelieveable !!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have a planned wedding date for 7-10-10...

Great news, she passed her interview it was very easy and quick, three simple questions. Her visa was delivered on Saturday after her interview Tuesday(really fast). I am flying on the 31st and we will travel back home on the 7th of June. Can't believe its over, but i sure am glad. We will do the CFO while we are there in Manila. I really don't think the process would have gone so smooth without all the help i have had from this sight. It is truly a great resource and i hope i can help someone in the future. Take care all and good luck on our continued journey.

Its been awhile but thought I'd give an update and some info. Mark and I moved our wedding to August 21st (instead of June 12th). His packet #3 has been received as of May 20th...it will be 6-8 weeks until the interview..ugh. We had heard through a previous filer that he was not allowed to travel outside the UK until this process was finished, just want to pass along that that is not the case. You can travel to the U.S. during this process, you just need to carry proof that you are returning to the U.K. (ie not trying to pull a fast one on them). It has been since January since we have seen each other, but luckily he will spend 3 weeks here in the U.S. before having to go back to the UK for his interview. He has already passed his medical (YAAA!) and we are getting so much closer. Good luck to all...I love seeing emails of new posts and hearing good news from others. Thanks to everyone in this forum who have stayed positive and kept our shipmates spirits up! Good luck, may we all be with our loved ones soon!:dance::dance:

Hello everyone!

Had my interview and medical yesterday. I think I passed, but I didn't ask and they didn't say anything. Hmm.

Well, I guess I'll find out soon either way...

QUESTION: I asked two people at the embassy about the EAD stamp. One guy didn't know, the interviewer said "everywhere". Is that true? I always thought JFK was the only one...

Thanks!

Congrats to everybody already approved (or in the US - jealous! :P) and good luck to everyone waiting!

Congrats on your interview and medical. If you are talking about Employment Authorization Document (EAD), then you will apply for this document after you marry. The EAD and AP is part of the AOS process and the cost is included in the $1010 fee.

Hi,

Everyone,

I have bad news for anyone that has interview after the 4th of June.

The embassy called my fiancee today and told her that she has to go back and pay the difference between the new price and the old price for the visas. I have to pay for 2 people. They said because her interview date is after the 4th of June. She has to go back and pay the difference. If her interview date was before the 4th of June then no. I am screwed. I have to find $500.00 dollars from somewhere.

they have just stabbed me in my back

New fee is $350. $350-$131=$219

So even though, yes, it is painful to pay more, it's not all that much.
