Mine was there mid-day Kiev time. But now I have to wait anywhere from until tomorrow to god knows when before they enter into their system...

Great news. I need to email the embassy to see when they received mine...they should already have it.

This is jumping ahead but what happens after we get approved at the interview (thinking positively here). I know we have six months for my fiancee to come into the country, then 90 days to get married, but... how long does he need to be here before we are married? How long once we are married will it be before he can work? What papers do we need to file for this all to happen. I have been looking and looking for this info and just haven't hit the right area I guess. I'm definitely gonna need more rum!

- You can get married anytime within 90 days, it's all based on the state you are in (some require SS# some don't)

- Once you are married you will file for Adjustment of Status (AOS) along with Employment Authorization Document (EAD) and Advanced Parole (AP). EAD and AP are free with filing AOS.

- EAD estimates can be found on a government website (3 months) and on VJ (around 3 months still). That is when he can working

Just an update to all the December K-1 Filers 2009: Approved!!! Checked early this morning and it was approved last night also recv'd an email last night at 11:03PM!! Now on to next step Best Wishes to All!!!!

Hi Captain, how are things going with your quest? We received a touch today according to the USCIS site. How many touches till we actually hear anything? Our official receipt date was December 30th, if you think they may be important.

Hi all,

I just received a txt from USCIS which made me think our case had been adjudicated, but upon checking the USCIS website, the status has moved from Initial Review, where it has been since NOA1 date, back to Acceptance. It also says that on March 25 a duplicate notice was mailed to me regarding my case. Is this a bad sign?

I am by no means any expert on these matters but did you also sign up for emails? Maybe the email will be more specific. Based on what I saw above it seems the Email is a duplicate of any snail mail coorespondence you may receive. I hope all turns out well with your case.

CONGRATS!! The VSC will forward your petition to NVC. In about 3 days, call the NVC to see if they received your petition and if so, request your new case #. The number for NVC was provided in an earlier post. NVC will then mail your petition to the appropriate embassy.

What you can do now is get ready for the interview...gather all your evidence and have your SO apply for police report and start completing the proper documents.
