Congratulations, yall! Approvals and good news must be the best adrenaline rush. Seeing everyone all happy is a huge boost of hope. Time to knock back some more shots (in celebration and in anticipation)!

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

I received a letter in the mail today from the NVC stating that they received my petition and will be forwarding it to the embassy. The letter included my new case number and the address of the embassy. Also, provided the DOS website to determine if the embassy has any info of which you should be aware. I was a little shocked because I wasn't expecting a letter from NVC. At first, I thought omg what happened now? Did something get screwed up and they lost my petition, but no...it was good news. Just a formality, because I knew on 3/18 that my petition was sent to the embassy...should be there by now. :whistle:

Well, it's high time I find thee parrot...he stole me pint agin.

Mark, it is normal to send you that letter.. They told me on the phone I would be recieving one after they foreward it to Bogota.

I assume they did not tell you the same thing...

I just saw the parrot crapping on a newbie crew member for sleeping on watch. The newbie took your pint and the Parrot got revenge in your behalf.. :devil:

This weekend is an NVC party in the Captains quarters for the crew members who are in NVC or out of NVC already...To the rest of the ship keep Drinking like we did and man the sails.. This is how you get to NVC as fast as we did.. :thumbs::thumbs:

Hi,

I have a question.

I understand how to get an interview scheduled. But I am unsure of when to do it. Is it after she fills out the DS-160 online application first? Does she need to apply for the visa first then send the information to get the interview. I understand that she needs to bring all of the documents to the interview.

Question for

Panamajack or mark and carol.

There is a DAS located in my fiance's city. Can she obtain the police reports from there? Or must everything be done in Bogota?

In Colombia the police report should come from where she lives as you she has a DAS office there you are in luck. Just have her go there

My fiancee did her's 2 months ago. They are good for 1 year.. Yes she sends in the DS-230 and DS-2100 first. :thumbs::thumbs:
