Hi

I would appreciate your insight into my typical case scenario

I got my Green Card and subsequently my citizenship based on my marriage to my ex us citizen wife. My first marriage was in Dec 2003 and I got my gc in August 2004. I got my citizenship in Oct 2009.

My ex and I got divorced about three months before I would have been eligible to file for citizenship under the 3 year rule. Hence I waited for 5 years. I got married again about one and half year ago and have just filed I 130 for my wife.

My question is will my having married before and having acquired my citizenship have any effect on my current petition???? Is there a possibility that it might take longer for it to be approved ( citing additional inquiries or investigations )

I had married my ex in good faith and it was not to bypass immigration laws. It just didn`t work out.

pls help

There should not be any effect on your current wife's visa, as your marriage was a while ago, and lasted several years. They probably will ask the new wife at the visa interview about the old wife, just to check she knows about the previous marriage, but that is it.
