All wrong again. How is the flag on a pole an eyesore unless you hate America?

You're really bent on this "Hating America" thing. The issue is not that black and white.

I personally feel that a person like the man that fought in 3 different wars and has a MOH and P.Heart deserve a little bit more for what they have done. But when you sign a legally binding contract you should be fully aware of what you are signing your name to. And how I feel about it doesn't make a ####### of a diffrence. That is the agreement the man signed to.

I mean the HOA doesn't let me put pink flamingos on my front yard, it doesnt mean that the HOA hates pink flamingos. They are trying to protect the value of other ppls properties. Which is understandable.

How does old glory being flown with respect on a flag pole bring down the value of other people's houses? That assumes the rest of the community and prospective buyers also hate America.

All wrong again. How is the flag on a pole an eyesore unless you hate America?

 WTH does hating America has to do with the neighbors not wanting to ruin their view with a flagpole?

Like DPX said, the dude signed a legally binding agreement. He will have to deal.

How does the US Flag on a 21 foot pole ruin their view? Most people like to see Old Glory flying.

I don't know dude, ask them, and demand they change the HOA regulations, stat.

And again, what does this have to do with your "they hate America" thing?

 since you like that cartoon so much

I bet you will not answer my question, since you never do.

Without emoticons: how do the HOA regulations agasinst flag poles translate into them being "america Haters"?

Please respond.

Its obvious.

Going on one of your childish "answer my question" quests again?

No, it is not obvious.

"Hate" or "Love" of a country goes beyond simplistic iconicism, otherwise it becomes plain chauvinism ;) Some folks would never fly a flag in their houses house. That does not mean they "hate America".

p.s. if you could provide an answer and stop looking like 4 year old, I might stop. But you are too easy to snare... therein lies the fun.

Your immaturity is obvious regardless of your age. Calling me a 4 year old doesn't jive with reality, so I have no reason to refute it.

And.... you still cannot articulate how does the HOA hate America. Yet you state it over and over and over again. Sorry Joe, you lose. Again.

The people who talk like this are the real ones who must hate America and they make it a laughing stock around the world because it sounds, and is, nutty.

A true patriot promotes his country as being reasonable and logical and ethical and caring rather than hateful and is capable of setting out some premise for his statements which will draw respect, even if their ideas are not supported.

It's like the birther thing - you know 'Obama is a Muslim and his middle name is Mohammed and he was born in Kenya etc'. The people who shout this are very vocal, but they are a tiny minority of nuts in reality.

The idea that American residents associations hate America and want to trample the flag is just plain daft.

I am planning to become US citizen next year, but the idea that I will have to embrace all these whackos as my fellow citizens really worries me, and never a day goes by where I don't wonder if I would be better staying an LPR

You're better off becoming a citizen. If you're a citizen you can vote and that can mean a great deal, especially in the U.S. where everything is so politically charged. You'll have to face idiots no matter what, so you might as well try to get the best deal possible for you.

yep you are right..

This poor old ####### with the 20 foot flagpole will die of a broken heart when they take it down, but if he wasn't getting upset about that, it would be something else like Obama bowing to some head of State or cancer patients being treated when they have no insurance. That's how it works when you get old and take life too seriously. The residents or the people who are up in arms about it should buy him an electric cart with flags all over it instead, and have his flagpole moved to the nearest City Park where he can wear his medals and be taken up there on every national holiday to see his name on the brass plaque. Tell him his front garden is not high profile enough to do him justice and everyone in the town should be able to see it.

My advice - the guy should bend over and prepare to receive the full length of the flag pole in his fudge tunnel.

Not before Obama get's rid of all the health insurance exclusions coz I bet sub section 32295('B')(11) refers to damage from having a Pole inside you. Especially in Minnesota which had a high number of Polish immigrants

That you two idiots are making sick jokes about this says a lot. Stay LPRs, because this country is better off without you.

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself
