WHITE SLIP AFTER THE INTERVIEW

My daughter had her interview last Monday (Dec.1). She is 7 yrs old accompanied by my Mom since I can't because of my job and my schooling here in TX. My mother told me that the interview went well but what happened is they gave the passport back to my Mom, gave her a white slip indicates to wait until she hear from USEM. Also, they made her go to the NSO Pasay to get a CENOMAR to prove i wasn't married to my daughter's biological father. They gave her a form to be attached on the application of CENOMAR and people from NSO told her they are going to give the CENOMAR directly to USEM so she dont need to come back and pick it up. USEM also told her to bring all her school transcripts because my Mom just brought only the latest one and also her baptismal certificate. My Mom told them that our house got flooded and some of our documents got ripped. But they said that we can still get those records from the school and the church where my daughter got baptized. I'm worried of how long it will take. I'm planning to be there in the PH by March to get my daughter so we can fly together going to US. does anybody know how long the NSO will process my CENOMAR and bring that thing to USEM? I'm thinking filling another petition again for her. It is my husband now (her step-dad) did the petition for I know it would be a lot faster since I'm not a citizen yet. Things are playing on my mind right now.....I miss my daughter soooo much and I want to be with her soon. I'm praying that they won't deny her after submitting all the documents they asked for.

Hi,

I understand your anxiety on what happened and the desire to be with your daughter. I would like to ask if under what visa did your daughter apply?

At this point it is best to secure the documents they required the soonest and submit the same to the embassy. A friend of mine requested for a cenomar and was available in a week. As long as it is proven that youre not married to the biological father of your daughter, then under the family code of the phils, the custody of the child is yours( as long as there is no court order declaring otherwise)and as long as your daughter is qualified and no existing prohibitions then i dont see any reason why the visa be denied.

In my case, my marriage to the father of my children was declared null and void and the custody of the children was granted to me. During the interview I presented a copy of the annotated marriage contract of my marriage to my exhusband( with the information of the declaration of the nullity of marriage), the birth cert of my son and his NBI clearance. His visa was approved as my derivative. My daughter will hopefully have her interview next month and will be taking same documents to prove that she is qualified to be my derivative.

Keep the faith and be strong!

hi! im sorry to hear that the interview of your daughter didnt went well. My 4 yr old son had his interview yesterday and he was approved. Before the interview formally started, the CO asked me if he will do the interview in english or in tagalog and i told him, Tagalog Sir. Most of the questions were answered by my son since the questions are just basic questions about my son, me and my american husband. The pinay screener only asked for pictures of me, my son and my hubby. So as to your question if you will file another petition for you daughter. don't because she wasnt denied yet, the decision is still on hold. And yes, the process is faster if the petition is filed by your US citizen husband just like what my husband did. So just let your mom provide the needed documents by the embassy and your daughter will be fine. Regarding the CENOMAR, the NSO will release it in 1 week's time then they will send it to USEM. As with my son's case, he is using my maiden name since birth and was never acknowledge by his biological father so hin his live birth certificate from NSO, no father was registered so his papers were "clean." Kindly tell also your mom to request for your daughter's OTR from her school because some schools release it after 3 weeks or 1 month (well, this is in college level anyway); the baptismal certificate can be requested and claimed right away from the church where your daughter was baptized... I guess you did not inform your mom what documents to bring on the day of your daughter's interview; that's why she was asked to return.

My daughter had her interview last Monday (Dec.1). She is 7 yrs old accompanied by my Mom since I can't because of my job and my schooling here in TX. It was under IR2 petitioned by my USC husband. My Mom is waiting for her to be called by the USEM that way she can go there and submit all the required documents. But i think, they will only call her until they have the CENOMAR in hand. I just dont know how long we will wait. I don't know that after submitting the documents they would still say that my daughter is under AR so wait until we call again. My mom went to the church and school Dec. 2 to get the school transcripts and baptismal certificate, and they both told her it will be ready by Dec. 9. I'm praying by then, NSO already gave my CENOMAR to the USEM.

You can request your Cenomar thru NSO Helpline and they will deliver it to your home address not in the USEM. NSO don't deliver Cenomar to USEM. Your mom can go back to the USEM as soon as she have all the required documents. Based on my experience, i got my visa in 4 days after submitting a cenomar.

My mom was given a form to be attached to the application of my CENOMAR. And it was indicated there that it is requested by the USEM. They even told her not to go in any NSO but only in Pasay. We live 1 ride away to the NSO serbilis center in Pasig, but since it was instructed to her to do it in Pasay, that is where she applied for my CENOMAR. I even called the NSO Pasay to make sure my Mom did the right thing because i dont want to loose time and assume everything is ok. But they told me that they will call the USEM as soon it is ready and it is the USEM will be the one to pick it up since my application indicates that the CENOMAR is throught the request of USEM. I called Friday (Dec. 4), my Mom applied Dec. 1, right after the interview, and they said it should be ready by next week. I will call again next week to follow up. Do you think if I call the USEM, they will be able to tell me if they got my CENOMAr already? My daughters transcripts will be ready to pick up on Wednesday (Dec. 9), as well as the baptismal certificate. I'm being crazy this past few days.... but im hoping everything will end up well.

I just called.....but still they said, wait until we hear from them. We have all the documents set and ready but we have to wait until they tell us when to submit them. The one i talked says, minimum to wait is 6 weeks. I can't understand why we have to wait that long to submit what they need. Im extending my patience .......

My mom submitted the documents Jan.7 since we waited until we got informed by the embassy that my cenomar is already submitted to them.i don't know why it took like a month before the NSO Pasay handed it USEM.but i am glad it is all done.
