Congrats. Great story of success.

Income certainly is important. When I filed for Anh, going back three years showed some serious income, as it included combined income with my ex-wife. So it was a six figure income. Because I filed just before it was tax time that year (for 2005) I included 2002-2004. I divorced in 2004, but for that year we filed jointly, Everyone following this? It's kinda screwy. Anyway, My actual income would not have been nearly as impressive by itself, as my ex's yearly bonus was 30% of our combined salary.

Short of it all is, it certainly helped with our case that it looked like I was pulling in over a 100k a year. B)

The other important factors were the number of times I flew overseas to see Anh (three) and that twice we saw each other in Europe, where Anh was looking for a grad school.

Factor in Anh did some studying in Japan and you have a girl who is well traveled, yet always returned home to her little third world communist country. Why would an educated well traveled woman get involved in a fake marriage? She wouldn't.
