is the US embassy in manila open?

im almost certain they are open on dec. 28th, since last dec 2006, my friend had an interview that day. but ive been trying to find their official schedule for 2009 on the net, but i guess i failed sorry...

i just wanna make sure and perhaps if somebody from VJ can confirm this before i'll buy a ticket to manila.

my short story: i lost my GC at the naia terminal 3... i dont know how it happened. i am so paranoid on checking and rechecking my wallet when i travel but i guess i let my guard down that day... all my GC, CC's, DL, and some cash were there... so i guess somebody's having a party right now... hehehe... i am not sure if im being pick pocketed (but that's most of my friends/relatives guessed coz of the way i relate my story)... so BE VERY EXTRA CAREFUL. who could've thought that inside the airport sitting on gate 120 while waiting for my flight, that i lost my wallet 10 mins later after i last check my bag??? ... good news though is a arrived safe in CDO. thats all it matters...

did you try calling the airport to see if anybody turned it in to lost and found????? its worth a shot if someone found it they might mail it cod. good luck

yes i called so far no luck. it happened last nov. 22 and i did leave my no# and email...

i contacted the embassy already and they gave me the docs/requirements that are needed for me to obtain a transportation letter and that i have to do it in person... so im hoping dec. 28 is open so i can do it that day w/ my husband coz he'll be here on the 25th...

as far as i know the embassy runs on american and filipino holidays, so they should be closed 24-25 , but dont know about phils holidays
