finally got IR1 visa after denial

I've never been happier than this.

After my first interview in Montreal, I got denied and was asked to send evidence of domicile.

Many members said the petitioner doesn't need to move back to U.S. to establish domicile. But we called several lawyers, they all said my husband had to move back. So we decided to separate just to be safe. 4 weeks later since I sent in, I got my visa. It was so much faster than I was expecting.

So now I can begin my new life. I'm just so happy

05/03/2010 - Welcome letter received.

05/28/2010 - Green Card received in mail.

01/26/2012 - Mailed RoC packet to VSC.

01/30/2012 - NOA date on application.

02/01/2012 - Cheque cashed.

02/05/2012 - Received NOA in mail.

02/10/2012 - Touch.

02/24/2012 - ASC Appointment Notice dated.

02/27/2012 - ASC Appointment Notice received.

03/23/2012 - Biometrics appointment.

09/20/2012 - Touch. Card Production ordered!

09/21/2012 - Touch.

09/24/2012 - Touch. Card mailed.

NOA 2 - March 13, 2009 (lost for awhile)

Congrats! When did you send in the last package and what did you send in specifically? I'm just about to send it back in and was wondering how long it was taking now. Congrats! How long was it after your husband went to the states until you sent your package? My husband left November 24 and I am hoping to send it in next week.

I just sent you a message, but didn't notice this question. To answer for this, it was 5days later my husband got all utility bills. I was worried it might've been too early to send in. But it worked!! We had to send contracts with cell phone, internet, power,water not actual bills. But it turned out fine

Brock, she said it was 4 weeks ago that she sent it in.

I was looking to see how long her husband had been in the States before she sent in her package.
