B2 visa prospects

Hey all, I wanted to get some input in regards to filing for a B2 visa for my girlfriend who resides in the Philippines. She is in her mid 20s and has no kids. I'll try to keep it short and add more information if need be.

We tried to file for a B2 visa a year and were denied due to insufficient funds if I recall correctly. At that time my girlfriend just completed a trade school, was employed for 2 months and had no significant savings to show.

The situation is currently very different. Since the previous interview we had two vacations together to four different countries (which I understand is a big plus for B2 applicants). She is also enrolled in an associates program with an estimated graduation date of Summer 2011 (also a plus). At the time of the interview she will have $2000 to $2500 in her bank account with the necessary documentation to prove it.

I wanted to see if anyone could add their 2 cents to improve our chances of getting the visa approved. We have not decided what to list under "Person staying with in US" and "Who Will Pay For Your Trip". We're currently leaning towards listing one of her friends who lives in the states. I'm afraid that if we were to put my name there they might suspect we're looking to get married (which we're not). Thanks again for your advice.

she needs to have properties in the philippines.

and atleast P500,00.00 on her bank account, she should have had it for more than 6 months.

lying on a visa application is immigration fraud,if caught you get a lifetime ban. NO WAIVER too.

why dont you just file for K1 that simple.

From what I understand students are exempt from the property / minimum assets requirements. I've read in other places that being a full-time student demonstrates that you have sufficient ties to the country. Everything on the application is truthful because we're planning on visiting her friends here as well.

Filing for a K1 visa would be fraud because we have no intent to get married.
