Spouse visiting while CR1 under process

Using what visa can I bring my spouse to the US while the CR1 Visa is under process without causing delays to the process?

Is it advisable for her to come to the US while the visa is being processed?

I read that even if my spouse gets a tourist visa, the immigration officer can deny entry if they know she is an intending immigrant. Is there any other way we can be together?

Thanks for your help.

There are many different visas... most of which she probably does not qualify for.... but there are student visas, work visas, exchange visas, etc... the most common of course is the tourist which is the the easiest to apply for but not always the easiest to get...

YMMV

Anyone can be denied entry into the U.S. visa application pending or not. My fiance is here visiting while our K1 petition is pending and he didn't have any problems at all. He brought along evidence of ties to the UK but wasn't asked for them. He said this POE was the easiest time he's had.

Tourist visa, you need to provide strong evidence of ties to home country, and no immigrant intent at this time.

FAQ: 4.6)...Can my fiance(e) come to the US to visit me once the visa process is started? (This applies to all visa types)

This may actually be the most common question in the newsgroup, asked on a near daily basis.

Note: if do get a tourist visa, DO NOT OVERSTAY the allowed period noted on the I-94 card issued at the POE.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

It will be very hard, if not impossible, to get a tourist visa from India if you are already going through the CR-1 process. It's hard under normal circumstances, but when they know you are intending to immigrate there is almost no chance.
