how to deal with the stress of this journey!!!

Hi all!!!!....I was just looking for some advice and Ideas on hold to handle the stress durring this process.....Personally it has been becomming harder and harder for me....Please dont judge me but I have been drinking more and more .....snapping at my employees and worse of all blowing things WAY out of proportion with Pam and loosing my mind over the littlest things !!!! please help me with some idea's on a way to relax.....

All you can really do is somehow get your mind off of it.

I'm just kind of curious.. What's the fastest folks have seen a Visa issued? ATallCoolOne, you seem to be the quickest I've seen..

I played Guild Wars about 4 hours a day keeping my sanity. :thumbs:

I built a keggerator in my garage that also helped a great deal... :whistle:

Do find some kind of hobby, aside from drinking a lot of beer...

Ours was onw of the cases that sailed through (less than 90 days from petition filing to visa issuance) and it still was very stressful and seemed to take forever. I suppose if it had gone on much longer the local ABC store near my house might have gotten to know me very well. :)

I got nuts thinking of the wasted time of how the both of us can be together right now, aside from that nothing else i can do.

Start planning your future together while your waiting. Buy things for your house and rearrange if needed. Start buying her necessities. Plan where you will take her when she gets here. Get her a cellphone and a MP3 player and load it with music that she loves. You will survive this! We all have been through it. Not easy, but not impossible either... Good Luck to you! :thumbs:

Take a break from Visa Journey..that's what I did when we were just starting the process because seeing other people's timeline and approvals stressed me more. I became addicted to Facebook games :crying: ...but atleast it helped me get my mind off the process.

USCIS/NVC STAGE
May 8,2009-- I-130 Sent
August 17,2009-- I-130 Approved
August 26, 2009--case received at NVC
November 5,2009--CASE COMPLETED
USEM MANILA STAGE/ U.S. SOIL
November 17-18,2009--Medical PASSED
December 10, 2009--Interview @ 8:30AM A-P-P-R-O-V-E-D

A PI forum member named "nydvo" has the fastest K1 journey that I know of. Her visa was approved in less than 2 months. See her timeline below. And to think that her case is a bit complicated as it was her 2nd K1 petition. Other VJ members were telling her that she is not entitled to receive another visa because she initiated divorce in the US against her abusive first husband.

September 21, 2009 -- NOA1

October 21, 2009-------NOA2

November 10 & 12, 2009----Medical

November 19, 2009----- 7am Interview. APPROVE. got the PINK SLIP!
