I never delt with my wife changing her name to mine, so I'm not sure what to do with this new wife when we get married, she will be a K1 wife.

Do we use her new name on the Adjustment of Status form?

What about when applying for a social security card, when putting down her new name, it won't match the name as when she entered the USA

What about the passport, do we have to go to the Philippines Embassy to apply for a new passport?

Is it too complicated and easier to just keep her old name?

Yes, and on EAD as well. If you're going to change the name, doing so now (when filling out all the AOS forms) is the easiest path. Better and cheaper than changing the PR/Green Card later.

Will match the marriage certificate. Guide to obtaining a SS number/card.

A personal choice - not sure you have to but might be a good idea eventually.

We kept the same names - not just for this reason but was part of our decision making.

Better to let her use her married name now in all her documents..That's what i did and had no problem at all. Also use her married name to get an SSN and she don't have to get a new passport if her passport is still valid.

It is not complicated if she will use her married name and it is not difficult to get a new passoport either.
