So, in reading through the Secret Santa posts, one stood out. My uncle played Ukuele so, when I saw that Ashenflower was learning, it got me reminicing. I just happened to find the attached video, so in honor of Ashenflower's venture into the world of music, I thought I would post this

LPR since 2003 and will be applying for Naturalization soon. Currently working on I-130 for my son.

LOL! awww... Thanks. This is my first ever thread directly related to me :luv:

So far I learned how to do the C scale, and know 7 chords! LOL I am at work, so can't watch the video right now, but will definitely check it out when I get home. :) thanks!

I used to play keyboard when I was a teenager, so I'm coming in to stringed instruments completely new, but do have some musicality in my background, which is definitely helpful. If anyone else plays the ukulele or is interested in learning a new instrument too, let me know! Especially any new Canaliens (love that term.. haha) who will have some free time while waiting for AP/EAD/AOS in the coming months. :)

Brings back nightmares of grades 4 or 5,as we had to learn the ukulele in Music class! I soo wanted to burn mine! lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
