Here we go again with five years if you are applying for the three year marriage privilege. So we just went back five years, referred back to our G-325A and copied and pasted that for residence, schools, and employment, then updated it. Used Adobe Acrobat Pro, but see now the free Reader ver. 9 is a fillable form and let's you save it. But the problem with the free reader, doesn't let you change the font size, so you may have to attach a separate piece of paper that you can do with the Pro version. Really irritating if you are one or two characters short.

I have all of my immigration forms, scanned evidence, copies of everything sent to us by the USCIS on my Drive E on my computer, just looking at that directory, it's 160,960,512 bytes long. Not only on my computer, but on two others that I updated through my LAN, plus I burnt a CD with all those files on it. When I first started with immigration, did call the USCIS and did receive a stack of forms, but then you would either have to buy a typewriter or hand fill them, so much easier to correct fillable forms and resave them. And since the USCIS is asking for the same old information time and time again, with Pro, can copy and paste the exact information from one form to another. Look very nice on a 600 dpi laser printer, but tend to use color for green cards and stuff like that.

Storing this stuff in Drive C is crazy, if your OS has a major crash, would lose everything, and doesn't have to be a crash, can be an HD failure. So not only do I have these files in a 2nd drive, but also backups in a 3rd drive on my computer. Well the other computers as well, once setup, this only takes seconds.

When I print out this stuff, set my copies to 2 and make two identical stacks, one for the USCIS, the other for backup, in case they lose the first copy, and they did do this once. Was all set to go.

I don't do this for everything I use my computer for, but just for the government. When I printed out the M-476 manual, had problems with that, could only print out ten pages at a time, double sided, I carefully read it and highlighted just the stuff that applied to us from their 68 pages. With Pro, could just copy what pertains to us and only had to print out about three sheets. Six pages of the I-130 instructions could only fill out a half a page of what we had to do.

Someone went through a great effort to combine all this stuff, so takes a great effort to separate it for what just applies to you.

# 2. You can download the N-400 form directly from the USCIS website for free without having to call them and wait for the form to arrive in the mail, link. But if you still prefer to call for copies, it's free. The only thing you need to pay is when you submit your N-400 application. You must include the filing fee of $675 ($595 plus a biometrics fee of $80) along with your application and required documents. I hope that helps.

I will try again for work put down unemployed, sure did that for my wife when she was here before she got her EAD. List your schools.

Forms are free, but have to be either type or hand written, if you have a computer and a printer, better off to download them at:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

But surely if you are applying for the N-400, you certainly been through this before, did you fill out the G-325a?

1- on Form N-400 Part 6 B. Hi Sand,

In answer to your questions:

1) Likewise, I never worked since I arrived in the USA and am currently a homemaker/stay-at-home mom...But I also did do some volunteer work while I was in the USA and was studying while I was in Canada. So I wrote all of that down...and during my interview..lol...they didn't care about that. I guess they just figured that it doesn't count if one doesn't work and/or pay taxes...oh well....

In your situation, if I were you, I would write down the schools that you went to, so in case they do ask, you can mention about that. At least you are telling the truth there, and are not lying about that, even though it may or may not count for what they are looking for. And don't worry, they won't discriminate, just because you are a student. On the bright side, at the very least, it would be an interesting topic of casual conversation between you and the IO about this...For example, "So, what did you study? Are you enjoying your studies? Do you feel this has helped you adjust to life here, etc.?", which is good to "break the ice" during the interview...lol...

2) Not sure what the toll free number you are talking about is. Is this the mis-information/USCIS customer service information phone line? You only need 1 copy of the N-400 to send to the USCIS, which you can download and print out from the USCIS website....www.uscis.gov

You can make a copy for yourself, after you fill it out, just in case they lose it or something, so you can have one copy handy for your own records too.

It costs $675 for the N-400 process....Payable by check and/or money order to the US Department of Homeland Security....

You also need additonal required document for your N-400 too, if applying based on marriage......

See here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...alization_guide

Hope this helps. Good luck on the rest of your journey too.
